Many are conservatives who take their ideology to ridiculous lengths. They dislike Al Gore so much because he's a liberal. And anything he says simply must be wrong, even when he's simply repeating what the vast majority of scientists also say.

They maybe should listen to these guys:

"Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenged fellow conservatives Tuesday to stop resisting scientific evidence of global warming"

"Pat Robertson (very conservative Christian leader) "It is getting hotter and the ice caps are melting and there is a build up of carbon dioxide in the air. We really need to do something on fossil fuels.”

Essentially because Al gore is rich trust fund bably who inherited millions of dollars from his father who received those millions of dollars from the big oil companies that Al Gore pretends to hate.

Al Gore has never lived in the real world. He has lived the sheltered existence of a spoiled clueless rich kid.

Al Gore lives in a huge mansion that uses over ten times the amount of energy that the average American family uses.

Al Gore often flies around on private jets that use over 1,000 times the amount of fossil fuel per mile traveled as the most wasteful SUV.

Al Gore has the nerve to lecture the rest of us about our wasteful use of energy.

This spoiled lazy rich kid does not even have a clue about how the rest of us live our lives, get to work and return home and raise our families.

If this character is going to have any credibility as a spokesman for the environmental movement he must first get his own house in order.

Al Gore must get rid of his ridiculous mansions and live in a tiny 1,100 square foot house built 50 years ago like the rest of us.

Al Gore must stop flying around in wasteful private jets and start driving a normal car, and not some pretentious little hybrid that none of us can afford, for his transportation like the rest of us.

HE'S A LIAR:
1. Love Canal
2. Love Story
3. The Internet

HE CHANGES OPINION MORE OFTEN THAN UNDERWEAR:
1. "Iraq is a prime sponsor of terrorism"
2. "Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism"
3. "George Bush stole the election"
4. "George Bush is MY President"
5. "George Bush LIED to the American People"

...and because he's a hypocritical demagogic totalitarian shape-shifter who will go anywhere, say anything, do anything to get applause, power, and control over the smallest details of peoples lives. And he stood by while the biggest weasel on the planet soiled the office of the Presidency and the rest of the world laughed at us.

Oh, and he's a giant BOOB!!

Basically because he's a liberal and he's become the face of global warming. Conservatives hate him because they know he really won the 2000 elections and deep down the feel guilty for stealing the election for the man who's become the worst president in US history. Now he's bringing attention to an issue that points the finger at them - global warming and human greenhouse gas emissions. So again it's a guilt factor, and they don't like feeling guilty, so they attack Gore anytime they get the chance.

Gore bring some of it upon himself by living a carbon intensive lifestyle, which is rather hypocritical of him. Thus he makes himself a rather easy target, but the reason conservatives mock him is to help assuage their guilt about the 2000 election and global warming. If they can say he's a hypocrit, then they won't feel guilty about their own carbon emissions. If they can mock him for being a whiner about the 2000 election, they don't have to feel guilty about stealing it and destroying our country.

Because Algore doesn't practice what he preaches. He releases a movie warning us about global warming, which is a good thing. But then he continues to live the jetset lifestyle, which leaves me with the impression that he thinks that it should be up to the "little people" to actually change their lifestyles. That rubs a LOT of us the wrong way.

Because he's a hypocrite. He's written a book and made a movie to tell the unwashed masses that we are "causing" global warming. Yet he continues to fly around in his personal jet, drive his suv's and sports cars, own mansions that require excessive natural resources to build and and maintain, heat and cool. It's an elitist mentality that he projects. He's using global warming as a political and economic tool. Selling "carbon offsets" at his gain...need I go on?

If he took his theory seriously, we might too. Fly commercial, drive a smaller car, sell off some of you homes and use solar and wind to power them.

A better question is, why does it bother you?

If global warming were just about "the science", then personalities wouldn't matter. And neither would personal attacks.

But it's NOT about science. That's why people bring up "the consensus". That's why half of the bandwagon environmentalists bring up "An Inconvenient Truth" as a good way to educate oneself about Global Warming.

It's why your question is posted here, rather than in the POLITICS section....

Because peeps are sheeps and they've all been mislead into thinking that what Al Gore does actually has some relevance to global warming theory.

It's a shame really. So many people are so blinded by ideological rage that they're unable to objectively examine the evidence for the theory.

Boils down to people are just afraid of change especially the rich and every thing he make us aware of has something to do with the way we live like driving anywhere we feel like going to heating our homes . He really needs to take some of his money and put it into alternative energy that we can all use besides just talking about it but that's rich people for you they do the talk but i never see one of them do the walk.
