anna, if you think the Catholic religion is such a joke, then perhaps it wouldn't behoove you to answer questions addressed to Catholics.

evolver that sounds great. I'd finally get to hear your guitar skills and vocal stylings. Besides, I'm always willing to go back to Rome again.

txofficer, wonderful suggestion. Of course we as Catholics would definitely have to attend Mass together!

bearstirring...hello and thank you for your answer. I'm afraid you've slightly misunderstood my question. I didn't actually mean ALL Catholics. What I meant was we Catholics in Yahoo R&S. Sorry for the confusion.

I wouldn't mind being the greeter, and I would probably be the first to arrive, being ex military I am usually very puntual, sometimes to early.
For entertainment we could have some praise and worship, prayer and then invite Matt Maher for live entertainment. Eat good food, drink some wine and get to know each other.
May God bless you all, especially those who insult us for being us.

Got to go for Ireland, some where over by Galway Bay. Ireland is the small country that has given us more Saints then any other place on Earth and from which most of the Churches traditions come
Entertainment of course U2 the most catholic of all bands, the Corrs and Springstein will also be on hand
First to greet us St Patrick himself, handing us a glass of beer and giving us a hardy pat of the back

Didn't that just happen? The Death of Pope John Paul the Second became a reason for MILLIONS of Catholics to converge on the Vatican for a week of prayers and music and a heck of a funeral mass. It was the Catholic Woodstock.
That said - - - all Catholics, crikes where would they all fit? Hmmmm - - - why not go for the Island of Cuba, it is fairly spacious and has some terrific Cathederals - - - - and party like it is the end of days.... Oh and Greeting you, gee wish Cardinal Jaimie Sin was still kicking, one of my faces, but heck why not go for the top honcho, Pope Benedict....
Pax ---
PS Not Catholic but feel a kindred spirit....

How about in St Peter's Basilica in Rome and the Papal Choir can be our entertainment? Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament would be the first to greet you . The Sacrament Chapel is on the right abit down from the main door and be sure to see the Pieta when you come in the door.

Gathering for Mass would be nice. After Mass, everyone could go out to eat and discuss the Mass and how beautiful the liturgy was.
I have a feeling that the priests on here would be the first to greet you, but only if they beat me to you.

It would have to be in Rome sweet Rome. For entertainment, I'm afraid it would be you and I, and church music girl... we're the musicians. Or maybe Giggly Giraffe would do stand up comedy instead.
The first to greet you... Debra M, Midge, or JPII Fan Club, probably. :)

You folks have the right idea -- Rome, a papal Mass at St. Peter's -- groovy!
(And Jesus would be the first to greet you upon your arrival, of course.)

Have the gathering in the middle of the US. As for entertainment, we'd have to find out everyone's interests first.
When you coming? :)
