I can see your logic but it will not be the host who suffers through our actions. The earth will continue to exist until the sun decides otherwise. Climate change will impact upon humans so it is only biological life on earth that will be killed off.

The earth is not going to die. Humans will eventually disappear, and the earth will continue. Maybe the next dominate species will be insects.
