Have you put your life in the hands of the Savior yet? Is He Lord of your life? No, all my anxiety about the future has been dissolved in His love and care.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Psalm 37:37
Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace.

No Savior, no peace. Know the Savior, know peace.

Knowing the future creates a paradox because more than likely you would not want the bad parts. In fact, you would do everything you could to avoid certain parts. If you somehow managed to do that, then it was not truly your future to begin with. If it is unavoidable, then imagine the anxiety awaiting the things that go wrong? I think I lik the idea of creating my won future a lot better.

I have no desire to know my future by any means other than arriving at the future naturally. That's what makes life so exciting - arriving at the moments without knowing what will be in them.

How dull would life be if you knew when that surprise birthday party was, knowing what colour tux your future son in law will wear at the wedding, where you will take your vacation in five years?

Discovery is what life's about - exploring our lives.

I used to think like that, but half the fun of it is the not knowing, kinda like a surprise party, if you know about it, it kinda ruins it. and same with the bad stuff, if i knew something bad was gonna happen, i would spend my time dreading the day instead of just taking things one day at a time

No way. Don't stress out about the future, see it as open and full of possibility. If you knew your future, then you'd only have one path to follow your entire life. How boring.

No I wouldnt. I would try to play God and change all the bad things.

I know my future, ultimately and that is all I need to know. anything that happens in this world is unimportant anymore to me. I know God has my back and nothing will happen to me good or bad that is not meant to.

nope i dont wish to know; i know im going to be in heaven for eternity and the rest is as god wants to use me for his glory.

even if i had the chance to know i would skip it, unless the holy spirit was choosing to reveal it to me (which he has done on one occasion) for some reason.

Personally, I would prefer not to know. Also, I'm not fatalistic, so I don't believe that anything is written in stone.

Yes, even with the chance to know I would skip it.

I used to think that. But if I did, then I would try to change things, which would change more...an infinite cycle!
I will accept what I get, and what I don't like, I will pray for changes.
