Is there a plug in for firefox that alerts you when you have a duplicate bookmark already saved?

Kind of like IE when you try to save a link as a favorite and it tells you it's already in there.

One sort of "sideways" method is to (1) fetch and install the Download Manager add-in and (2) configure it to always load to a specific folder (make that folder on your own, like, say, c:\downloads\)

Then, whenever you try to download an add-on you'd start the download and get warned, "whatever.exe already exists, do you want to replace it?" and you could reply "No" and thereby you'd know, you already have it.

Yep, this isn't an AUTOMATIC thingie, like you really want, but it'd help. Of course, it'd get in your way when you want to UPGRADE an add-on (or any other piece of software or other thing in the world...download manager handles EVERYTHING you download, not just Firefox add-ons)! You'd have to reply, Yes.

Hope this helps!
