You might start by reading the documentation, or look in the help file.
Scanners use a TWAIN driver to insert images into documents and such. They vary from scanner to scanner, so without the particulars, this is the best help I can offer.

Increase the scanning resolution. For instance, if I'm using my scanner to scan documents, I scan at a resolution of 400 d.p.i. This aids OCR recognition. You will find, however, that you need to adjust the magnification to 100% for this to be of any benefit. (I use a Benq 3300U scanner, which comes with MiraScan v4.03 scanning software. I've no doubt that your scanner comes with different scanning software.)

It depends what you mean. The scanner converts the document to an image with size in pixels. If that is too small, you need to find and change the Pixels Per Inch (PPI) setting and increase it.

Depending on your scanner, there should be an option in the setting tab.

check the settings if they ask you what size you want it to this is normally under one of the headings along side 'file' etc. if this fails just resize the image using a photo editing program
