If its 3.5 GB, then it's probably a package of multiple songs, in which case you would have to extract them using a program like WinRAR. Then, each individual song should just play when you click on it, assuming Windows Media Player id your default player, otherwise you can just open the files once Windows Media Player is open.

You should not have to move or transfer the files. You should be able to open Media Player, and then just browse to the folder that the music is in. Once there, you can create a playlist of the music, or add it into existing playlist. Media Player can play the music from any folder. You just have to tell Media Player where to look for it by browsing. So no need to move or copy the files.

not necessary to transfer. if you 'right cleck' on the file and then select 'open with' Windows Media Player then IF THE FILE IS COMPATIBLE it will play. Is it one file of 3.5 gb or many smaller files? Open Windows media player and find the command to search your hard drive for media - if necessary tell the programme to search My Music - see if it picks up your file
