Dear Friend,

The Bible does not teach Christians to hate Gay People. The Bible says thus:

Romans 12:9
[ Love ] Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

Luke 6:37
[ Judging Others ] "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Christians dislike the practice of Homosexuality because it is contrary to Gods will, but conversely we love the person themselves.

The Bible clearly teaches against these actions, for example:

1 Corinthians 6:9
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

So in short it does not teach us to hate Gay people, but the act of homosexuality itself.

God Bless

The Bible does not tell Christians to hate anyone.
Where did you get that?
Book, chapter, verse, please....... (It'll take you a long time, because it won't be found anywhere.)

As far as I know, gay people have never done anything to the Bible.
Someone here said that he would use it as toilet paper, but I don't think that person was gay. I think he was just being rude/disrespectful.

It also forbids women being in charge of men and lust over someone not one's spouse, lots of things that people don't have a problem with today. Look, guidelines for life, as flawed as we think they are, are designed for our good. I don't think we have the capability to come up with "good" on our own, it has to come from an external source. Living by the Bible is a "right living" that I don't mind. If it says don't, I don't, or at least I struggle with it if I do. And living by this book gives me peace.

The Bible doesn't do anything, it's a book. The teachings of Jesus however say to love everyone, at least that's how I read it.

Hatred is of SATAN not of GOD...we are told to LOVE not to hate. Some people who call themselves Christian do not in any way shape or form even reflect the true nature of Christ, and they are not doing his will going about bashing and hating others because of their sins. The church is not even suppose to judge the people outside of the church at all. If we pay close attention to what the word says we are to "expel the immoral BROTHER" (meaning fellow believer) but much sin happens from within and it is covered up (ie Catholic Priests who are molesting young boys) however in the same chapter of the bible we are told NOT to JUDGE THOSE IN THE WORLD (meaning outside the church body), and some "Christians" use them as targets..if you care to look it up it is 1 Corinthians 5 the whole chapter...but I will print here the 12th and 13th verse which makes it clear we are not to judge anyone outside the church that is Gods job alone...

12What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."

If the body of Christ did their job which is to be in the ministry of reconcilation rather than trying to do the job of the Holy Spirit which is to convict the world of their sins and to draw them to God we would all be much better off. Far too many get it all wrong and by trying to bring conviction (which is not our job) we bring instead condemnation (which comes from the evil one) so instead of doing the work God and drawing people near to God by showing them his love and mercy we are pushing them away by doing the bidding of satan making them feel like condemned and doomed.

We dont hate gays. Well at least I dont. We are to love them but we are not to hang with them either. For what can light have with darkness. There would be no fellowship there nothing in common.
