A sale should tell the customer very quickly what is being put on special. The entire contents of the store, or certain selected items? The summer goods, to make way for fall back-to-school products? A certain department, such as bath and bedding?

If it's the entire store, you want to make it sound spectacular, more of a bargain, a bigger opportunity, than any other store which might be competing for that customer's time and money. ONE DAY ONLY is often a good ploy which will bring out any customer who has been putting off a purchase, as well as those who can't resist a bargain.

Or were you asking about buying a name? I know nothing about that.
