okay, so i've already lost around 60 lbs, but i want to lose more. i dont have an exact target weight, though because i stopped weighing myself since muscle weighs more than fat.
anyways, here's my plan. i eat-breakfast (normally cereal and fruit), snack, lunch (normally sandwich and veggies), snack, dinner (normally lean cuisine). and i drink water throughout the day.
soon, i'm going to eat only fruits and veggies for snacks, but i'm slowly going into it, i dont want to just jump into that.
plus, i workout almost everyday.
does that sound good to you?

i'm 17, 145 lbs, 5'6

make sure you eat enough otherwise you will gain it all back because by depriving your body all you lose is water weight and muscle and slow down metabolism, body uses muscle for energy and transfers food you eat into fat reserves.
check how many calories a day you need for weight loss - enter "daily calorie intake calculator" on yahoo search and check a few sites to compare. some show weight loss number of calories needed some dont - then take off about 300-500cal the maintenance intake number.
one thing definitely missing from your diet is protein - soy products, legumes, milk products, whey protein shakes etc.

I think personally you could do with some professional advice.. but it depends where you come from.. You are kinda getting stuff right..

I went to weight watchers..

I got good advice about the food groups we need to eat. and about excersize. everything in moderation.. and also they tell you what weight you should be.. have to say.. despite what some people might say.. Weight watchers was fantastic.. excellent support and advice..

by the way.. congratulations on the weight loss so far.. you done really well!!!

Congrats on your weight loss so far, You sound very determined and I hope you can keep to your diet and workouts to maintain your target weight.

Just a suggestion, change your cereals to oatmeal and include nuts and cheese in your snacks.

Sounds very good, try to not let your weight drop more than 125-130 pounds considering your height, and at age 17, a little puppy fat never hurt anyone.

Sounds like you are eating healthy- you don't give exact portions but make sure you are eating a balanced meal with enough to fuel you throughout the day. I recommend taking a vitamin just to make sure you get all your nutrients.
Great Job so far, and good luck!

Yes, as long as youre covering all the food groups and exercsing daily i think that youre well on your way to becoming healthier everyday. Judging from your success so far, i think you are able to setup your own healthy habits and adjust yourself because you know whats best for you. keep up the great work =]

This is not a healthy diet! YOU need some proteins bro!? You need some animal fats (but don't have anything fried).

Going on vegies is just plain crazy!

I don't think you realise what is in fact a 'healthy' diet - this means that you eat in MODERATION (both in quantity and food groups).
peace.

sorry i misread your statement. yup looks quite fine. but you gotta add in some proteins from somewhere and remember not to starve yourself.

and when you exercise, you have to run about 5 miles in 60 minutes for it to be called 'exercise'. anything less is not worth it.

automate your eating by planning your meals ahead of time that way you re less likely to make an unhealthy last minute food choice

Well, what are you currently eating for snacks? Fruits are a good snack because they keep your blood sugar up and therefore decrease your hunger.
