I am travelling from Australia with Tiger Airlines in transit through Singapore and then with KLM to Europe.

They tell me that at arriving at Budget Terminal at Singapore I have to go and pick up my lugage from the flight, clear customs, go outside and get a bus from the Budget Terminal to Terminal 1
Is there around sombody who has been through the same trip/circunstances and could give me some ideas about your experience. if everything when smoothly for you?

Thank you so much

Yes you do have to pick up luggage, do immigration and customs and check in at Terminal 1 again but it is very easy. There is a free shuttle bus that picks you up from the budget terminal that Tiger airways flies into and drops you off at Terminal 1. No complications should arrise as it is really straight forward. Do approach any airport staff for assistance as I have winessed many occasions where the staff are happy to assist, right down to the trolley handlers and toilet attendants.

You have a long walk from the plane to the check out counter, so use a trolley.
When you go outside the Budget Terminal, turn to your right. You will see a bus there waiting for passengers. It is a free ride and will take you the T1.

If there is no bus, just wait. One will be there soon.

Be sure you know all the rules and regulations when in transit. No drug whatsoever or you face imprisonment or the death penalty if exceeds the specified weight of certain drugs.

Have a nice flight and welcome to Singapore Airport.

Never stepped foot in the budget terminal but it's smaller than Terminal 1 or 2. Anyway since T1 & 2 are adjoining they're more accessible than the Budget Terminal which is 1 bus stop away.

Hi,

I have never been into the "budget terminal" but have flown into 1 & 2 and have experienced a smooth transit. I look up the web site for Changi and get all info from there regards transit. I guess from what you say you have not booked the whole trip with the same airline? I know it might be more costly, but it is smooth and pain free to book the whole trip in one go. Good Luck and use the net to search out your answers. www.changiairport.com

There's nothing hard about that. Obviously, you have to go through customs because you're flying in through a foreign country. It was easy because the bus has great time frequencies. And they'll stop at every terminal. Nothing special. When I flew in through Philadelphia, that was the same thing I had to do. Again, it went smoothly because I READ DIRECTIONS. That's where some people mess-up right?
