To see a snake or be bitten by one in your dream, signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. The snake may also be seen as phallic and thus symbolize dangerous and forbidden sexuality. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless, and can't be trusted. As a positive symbol, snakes represent knowledge and wisdom. To dream that you escape from or kill a snake, denotes that you will overcome your struggles and come out a blazing winner. This is a great opportunity for renewal and to make changes.

Most of the time dreams don't mean anything. They are just extensions of our waking thoughts. For example I hate cockroaches with a passion. And I used to have this boy who would follow me around constantly and bother me so much. I was sooooo aggravated with him, I thought he was soooo annoying. He would always say that he loved me and that we were going to get married.
I had a dream that He was talking to me and a huge roach came out of his mouth. I woke up sick and scared. I conclude that the things he was saying were bothering me to a point of hating him and them(his words) with a passion.
I have however had dreams of snakes on occasion. Snakes do not represent anything positive, nor do they necessarily represent something sexual, as stated here. They represent something sinister, cunning and deadly. The fact that you were in a place where you should feel most at peace and rest( in bed sleeping) in our dream when they come to you could represent a spiritual/relational disturbance in your life. Something you are unaware of that is coming into your life in a comforting, familiar sort of way.
This may not be the case so just examine your life and "friends" carefully. God will give people dreams to warn them of impending dangers and sometimes people fail to see the warning. However, if you are not praying and studying the Bible you may miss the interpretation if there in fact is one.

Snakes could symbolize lots of things, sex, fear, tedious problems and so on depending on individuals.

come up to the bed and under the sheets = privacy invasion

In your case, thousands of them on the floor will not mean sex literally, but may be related to it.. It seems like your privacy has been invaded. Since there are thousand of them under your sheets. If snakes mean men in your life, that means socially you are afraid of being around with men. However, if you have no problem with men, or are not crazy about sex. These snakes could symbolize some tedious problems or fear you have, and this may be due to your low self esteem or confidence. You may project them as snakes because deep down you feel you are offended. This may have said something about your personalities.

Basically, the snakes reflect your fear and this fear is about your privacy. Whether your privacy is about men or about your own personalities. You had to vent it out as snakes because you subconsciously are afraid.

Snakes represent deceptions and lies. Your dream is showing you that you are in a place or walking in a path in life where there are lies and deceptions everywhere and you need to be careful what you listen to.
