Only if you've supplemented your Tae Kwon Do training with Muay Thai and BJJ.

Otherwise you're toast, buddy.

Yup. As Chuck Norris has shown in his movie "Good Guys Wear Black" If you run to meet the truck halfway and perform a flying drop kick thru the windshield, you should be able to hit the driver square in the chest and knock him backwards against the car seat thereby making him take his foot off the gas pedal. I doubt if Jujitsu has a similar move in it's arsenal. But I'm afraid only Chuck can actually pull this off without a scratch on him, you however will probably just end up with two broken legs and become 4 inches shorter.

Well, with TKD, maybe you'll be able to jump out of the way quick enough. I doubt an armbar would work too well on a semi-truck though. LOL All kidding aside, martial arts is not the "cure all" beginners hope for, and yet when they get into it, they usually find there's much more to it than they could have hoped.

Sorry, not with TKD. You need to be effecient in Chi manipulation. I would suggest Kung Fu, Ninjitsu, or Aikido.

If you spend enough time learning Kung Fu or Ninjitsu you can possibly repel it with a good solid Chi attack, or a Dim Mak strike.

However, since a Semi truck lacks balls, eyes, or knees, your other Kung Fu techniques may be useless. But not to worry, you train for the street and unpredictable attacks I am sure with years of training you would be able to figure something out.

They say Bruce Lee could stop a Semi Truck with his one inch punch,

Yip Man could do it from 10 feet away.

And Hatsumi would have thrown a ninja star in the trucker driver's eye.

Good luck to you!

No martial art will enable you to defend yourself against an oncoming semi truck.

No. This is a great example of why street smarts out-survives technical skill.
Street smart says get out of the truck's way.
Any six year old has enough technical skill to pull that one through.

Only if the semi hasn't taken tae kwon do.

Yes, it will, try it.....1 big round house kick to the windscreen should do the trick....please try it and let me know if it works, then I may have ago myself. If successful, maybe move up to a juggernaught or a "LOCO" motive.

Definately. You're TKD instructor will explain the importance of getting out of the way.

No, but the control and introspection that you attain will enable you to experience the situation with panache and equanimity.
