I have adobe acrobat ver-5.0

You need to update Acrobat. But to convert to word I use pdf2word..however there are many to do this with, I just did a quick search for "free ones"

Seems to be a good program to covert with.
Or Just do a search for Pdf to Word you will find hundreds of coversion systems.

If you have Adobe Distiller or a newer Full Acrobat if should be as easy as picking "File Save As" and picking a .DOC format for the save.

You need to have the adobe acrobat WRITER [not reader !] to be able to convert from one format to the other. The only solution is to manually copy and paste the text -in case the copy option is available into the mentioned document. Please note that many PDF files have protection against copying or saving. You may try some freeware PDF converters that might work as long they can read the original PDF file.
