Satan is a religious spirit and has been god over the kingdoms of this world since the fall of man. Some of those kingdoms are the kingdoms of religion, entertainment, commerce, fashion, etc.
Authority only exists in Almighty God. Satan builds and maintains his kingdoms by usurping, twisting and perverting authority including all true law and order.
Of the 6.7 billion people on earth, Satan has 200 million under his direct control, mostly at the high end of economics, religions, media, government and education. Vast numbers, not under direct control, operate in bondage under Satanic principals.
One might consider that God is not involved in reforming these worldly kingdoms or taking them over with the Christian church; or any other religion. Rather God has already replaced these kingdoms with a new creation started at Calvary 2,000 years ago.
These kingdoms under the perversion of their leader. who presents as an angel of light, are destined to death and self destruction.
Some leaders who look the best are actually the worst and some, who are the worst, are actually put in place by God. Consider Pharaoh of the Exodus; Nebuchadnezzar; or the several emperors of Rome, whom God used to set the stage for Messiah and the destruction of the Temple.
Why do we need the activity of any leader to support a foregone statement about Satan. The actions of world leaders do support the fact that the world is headed for judgment and must repent or perish.

Yes, the Bible at 1 John 5:19 tells us that the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. So, all the decisions that are being made by various rulers are a result of demonic influence. They may think they are doing things according to their own will, but they are merely chess pieces to the demons. If you would like to know more about what the Bible teaches why not talk to Jehovah's Witnesses in your area.

Satan is the personification of all evil as represented by the Christians. He is not a physical entity, and does not have ruling power. He is, however, influential. That's one of the reasons it is important to remember that he is a symbol, a metaphor, and does not have physical reality.
There are physical humans who seem to embody Satan, or to be satanic. Whether I would name any particular one is not the issue: they exist. And they must be fought, they must be resisted.
Brush up on your defense against the dark arts, my children; the time is coming when you will need them.

There are two kinds of gov'ts on earth. The 1st is the spiritual gov't composed of the church, the priests, pastors, prophets and saints, cardinals, etc under THE HOLY SPIRIT. The 2nd is the gov't of men called the gov't of the beast (beastly behavior) under the deceptions of satan. Thus, the natural men are deceived by satan and are the ones who are judgmental. But remember that satan is the author of all the sins of men and he is the great deceiver. He sways men to confusion, hatred, anger, biases, prejudices, wars, terrorism, crimes, etc and brings men to sufferings, errors and sins. And satan is the ruler of this world and thus, is destined for perdition. But the natural men, merely by their faith in THE LORD JESUS CHRIST are called the justs as they will be justified in the kingdom of heaven to come in the year 3500 under the rulership of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WHO is the author of OUR FAITH IN GOD.
