In order to say that God "is" isn't it necessary to define God?
To say that God "is," do you not have to recognize that he "is" according to your senses?
For example: If you surmise that God is "love," can you support your guess by proving that "love' is... i.e., that "love" exists in a real way? One cannot touch love or taste it or smell it, etc., so what exactly is "love" but a mere feeling, a non-being sensation that exists only in the reality of ones mind?
Another example: If you say that God "is" all-powerful, can you show what all-powerful "is"? Once again, you can neither sense it by any real sense of sight, sound, taste, touch or smell nor can you understand it as real by anything more substantial than a feeling, a mere emotion of your own being.
How then is God real? How is he a being?
If you maintain that he "is" a being as you would any living thing, then you would naturally be able to experience his being in a real way, through your real physical senses.

*** What is God? ***
The Universe is God, it created its self.
We humans are the gods.
When the question is asked, " Who or what is God ",
it is correct to respond as scripture dictates with ,
" I am " or " That I am ".
Such a thing assigns tremendous responsibility on the individual. We are the only Gods we will ever see.
For such can be shown to actuality exist in reality.
Listen to Yashua.
The Bible John 10: 34 - 36
Jesus answered them, is it not written in your law, I said,
you are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word
of Yahweh came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
Say you of him, whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, I blasphemes; because I said, I am the Son of Yahweh ?
Say ye nay, present proof, fantastical fabrications excluded.
The Universe is one.
One race, the human race.
We be all gods, children of the most high
( God / The Universe ) .

" And there is NONE like unto HIM." Holy Qur'an 112:4
In order to define a word which we can not physically experience or grasp, it is rational to describe it. God being loving, all-powerful, most merciful and etc. is just describing the qualities of God thus defining what God is and what God is not. Yes God is beyond our senses but does it mean He is undefinable? Unconscious or subconcious mind is already a scientific truth in many scietific circles, but how do you define it using your senses? You can not see it, touch it, hear it, taste it, even smell it. Yet we believe in it and we define it THROUGH descriptions. What our mind can not fathom, we rationalize it by what we feel with our senses. Senses are only a part of the process of defining a word but it is not the ONLY part. There are still many facets in neuro-science that are beyond our present knowledge. What we sense (see, hear, touch, smell and taste) is but an illusion created by the electrical impulses in our brain.

The instructions given to Moses and the Hebrews after they left Egypt , known as the Laws of Moses, contain an advanced disease prevention plan that was written by someone's knowledge of the germ theory 3500 years before mankind invented the microscope. The spontaineous generation theory which preceded the germ theory wasn't proven wrong by human scientists until the late 1800's. It was impossible for Moses or any other human on the planet 3500 years ago to write these instructions. Human knowledge of the germ theory evolved thousands of years later independant from these laws , which are still being given a misinterpreted religious meaning,in the Bible. In fact Charles Darwin and the rest of the scientists in the world at that time all believed in the disproven spontainious generation theory at the time Darwin's famous book 'Origin of the Species' was written. What all this proves is that these instructions in the Bible came from a highly advanced non-human scientific mind which the Bible tells us the owner of that mind belongs to someone or maybe something called 'God.'

To know God you must feel Him in your heart. Why do I suspect it would cause you to have a heart attack? Maybe a God attack? In the same way how do you know that the wind is real? If a tree falls in the quad and no one is around does it make a sound? What is an emotion or feeling? Can you prove that anyone on the face of this earth has emotions or feelings? Have you ever felt any kind of emotion? God is because He defined Himself saying "I am that I am". Because He said it I believe it and repeat it to others.

I would tell a materialist, that I worship the concept of Resurrection, and let that person explore that concept in there own time and manner. Others may understand that Resurrection is a person, as I do. But, it is difficult to speak of someone that another person cannot experience.
Can you recognize other people as 'real beings'? Some people have difficulty doing just that. Empathy, like Grace, may not be something one can acquire, but something that one can receive, or experience. My experiences with Grace are few, and far between, but yet enough to maintain a healthy spiritual life.

The best way to describe God, I believe, is as a concept, as a first Mover. Simply put, he Created everything in 6 days and rested on the 7th. That is the history of it. But if you have a hard time visually accepting this with your sences, then i suggest counting to the number infinity. It is a concept. How do i know how many numbers exist -- the same way i know God exists, because you had a father / mother, and they had parents before that, and so on, and so forth, God was the very first "Parent".... That is why we call him Heavenly Father.

Let those who have eyes, see. Let those who have ears, hear. Of course I cannot give you absolute tangible evidence. I have been communing with the God I understand since I was tiny. I've played with angels when I was very very young. They helped me get through some awful incest s***. I am sorry you have not had the contact I am blessed with. When I need God, small or huge, God is always there for me. Whether it be by angel, or some other way. God is alive and well, and he loves you without condition, it does not matter if you give him the finger and turn your back on Him. At least He believes in You. Of course no one can prove God to you.
Are you willing to just try something? If you are open-minded enough, ask God to reveal himself to you. However you must mean it, and you must be open-minded enough to receive it. My money is on God. If you are secure in your beliefs you will be able to be open-minded. It may however take some time. Just try. I'm not trying to convince you, just asking you to investigate for yourself. What you believe, either way is really nomb.
Blessed Be

The error lies with a finite mind trying to define an infinite God. Why should we try to define God? He defined Himself:
Alpha and Omega...
I am that I am that I am..
the way, the truth, the life...
To assert that He is nonexistent or cannot define Himself simply shows man's desire to defy what God says and rule themselves as their own god.

G---Gift O--Of D---Duality this dimension was a Gift from our Source the Omnipresence unlimited or GOD as we call It.
We are expressions for the Unlimited to "know" of Itself ,,and because it loves its "child" unconditionally this is where the dualistic nature "choice" became.

What are you trying to accomplish?
He is real because he is a different kind of being.
What is reality, then?
Is it the world?
Is it your perspective on the world?
