if u did tell him numerous times then yes it sounds like he is trying to get u in trouble......if you have it in writing that u needed that time off and u did go to the doc and have an excuse the obviously cannot fire u without a big ol lawsuit on their hands;):) keep ur head up girl! you did right not him!

go to the person above him (his supervisor or whatever) and let them know that you did tell him that you had arranged a doctor's appointment well in advance of you actually going. Ask them if there is someone else you can inform in the future as he doesn't seem to be retaininng any informaton you give him.

That's what I'd do...that would frustrate me big time but don't just do nothing or you'll loose your job.

It could just be a mistake, maybe he forget. When the girls I work with tell me they have a doc's appoinment I always forget and in the morning I go where's Sally?! Then I remember. We now have a calander on the wall and we write on it when we have an appointment.

So long as you know you gave him notification in writing I would not worry to much about it.

I don't know your boss, but it sounds to me like he's just been forgetful.

Hopefully you saved copies of your notice in writing. Be prepared to show them. Don't be confrontational.

The appointment was important to you--it may not have been as important to your boss.
