Sometimes I think people forget that it took years to become overweight. In turn it will take time to regain a healthy weight again.People forget that they didn't eat a muffin in the evening and woke up grossly over-weight.Weight loss is not only about diet it is also about lifestyle changes. In the world today we have come to expect instant gratification of our wants and needs. We forget change comes in baby steps as well as giant steps.Slow and steady wins the race.

I'd like to know to. Why are people always asking on here, "Okay, I'd like to lose 50 lbs in the next few months, tell me how." They don't ask, "How do I lose weight and better my health? What plan has worked for you in losing and maintaining weight loss?"

It is a cultural disorder, i.e., denial of reality and lack of self discipline. Instead of playing foot ball on Sunday, many will watch foot ball on television while drinking beer and eating pizza. On Monday morning, when they can't button their pants, they cry foul, i.e., after a couple of croissants.

When you are overweight, you will do ANYTHING to change. Everyone wants instant gratification. Weight loss is no different from anything else people want. We want what we want, when we want it.
