you will not have any money in your paypal account unless you actually authorize an amount to put in it from your bank account or debit card. To do so, you will need to log in and click on the "My Account" tab. Then choose "add funds". then you can take the steps to add money.

Otherwise, when you buy something, it will just give you the direct debit option all in one step: money goes from your bank to paypal, then paypal to seller. Generally people don't keep money in their paypal account unless someone has paid them thru paypal.

I have always just done the direct debit from my account so i wouldn't have to worry about money sitting in my paypal account and having to wait a couple of days to have it go back into my bank account. and then i got the paypal atm card so that canceled all my worries.

hope that helps

I buy things alot from e-bay and use paypal, the money want be deducted right then , but it's a very safe and guarenteed way to get your things. Maybe, if you're not sure if you've won the items or not contact the seller and they will be glad to let you know. No need to worry though. The seller want have any problem telling you how to do it! Good Luck...

This is why I use my a.K.a Card instead of PayPal- same privacy protection, more convenient, and it's a credit card so they don't rip me off because it's my bank and I can go protest in their lobby if they tried. Boo-yah PayPal. :) Best of luck.

You won't!! When you use PP the money comes directly from your debit card.
