Ok if you know anything about Nissan the 350Z engine is one of the most reliable engines created to date! Look up the VQ series engine and see all the awards it has won wards automotive magazine has rated it in their top ten list for 13 years straight. The only thing you will burn out on your 350Z over 100K miles will be brakes and your clutch. Remeber the 03 is the first year of the 350Z and first year vehicles have all the recalls on them so bring it to your nearest Nissan dealer and have them check and see if all the recalls have been taken care of.

How long ANY engine lasts depends on how the owner treats the car.
Say one guy has a car that has 100K miles on it. He treats it like dirt. Abusing the engine, that sort of thing. It probably will not last long after 100K.
Then another guy has a car that has 100K miles on it. He takes good care of it. He maintains the car with oil changes, changes the belts, and takes good care of it. It will probably last another 100K miles, or even longer.
Bottom line is, if you take care of your car, it will last forever.
If you are purchasing a used car, make sure they have all the records of service, etc.

u are asking to predict the future. generally unless u never change the oil or air filter, the engines don't have issues in Nissan's. the peripheries are things that go bad like sensors, injectors, etc. my last nissan had 234k and the engine was just fine. i needed clutch and fuel pump but wasnt worth repairing given age and mileage. the engine however worked flawlessly and used a quart of oil maybe every 3k which is acceptable.

The engine should be fine, unless it's been heavily modified... any engine over 100K has properly proven it's worth and if well looked after should be able to last for much much longer - just be sure to check the engine properly - things like pistons, flywheel and camshaft..do yourself a favor and re-do the valves to make sure everything is tip-top.

I only have two customers with over 150,000 not bad for a first year car. The engines have been flawless just keep clean air filters and change oil every 3 or 4 thousand miles. Clutch has been replaced in both 5 speed cars and a couple sets of front brake rotors. One just got it's forth set of tires. The other is driven harder 6th set of tires.
