Ok christians acccording to your bible god created everything and it says "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good". So I guess going by your book that your god created pot too and so therefore it too should be good.
Your god also is supposed to have said-
- "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
So does this mean your god said we should smoke/eat pot? Would it be a sin if we didn't?

this question gets asked on a daily basis here in R&S...

the bible continually speaks out against drunkenness, which is the same as being blazed, at least in essence. the bible tells us not to allow our bodies to be mastered by anything, and to honor God in all we do. the word for witchcraft in the new testament is the greek word ''pharmicaia,'' which includes, but is not limited to the drinking of ''magic'' potions, the inhaling of vapors, the eating of hallucinogenic plants, etc, etc, etc...

if it makes any difference, i had to look it up for myself too. i too tried to get around that when i first converted. lol. i quit smoking weed (and every other drug) when i found that out, and to be honest, i really don't miss it at all. i feel healthier and less moody now that i've quit.

be blessed.

edit-
i agree with 'aussie witch' that we should use more hemp (not bud). one acre of hemp produces four times as much oxygen (which is something we've GOT to start replacing) and four times as much paper as one acre of trees, and the biproducts can be used in making bio-fuel. we could grow it right here in america, which would both decrease our need for foreign oil and provide all kinds of economic opportunities for american workers. i'll write congress if you will.

edit #2-
hemp seed is perfectly healthy to eat and does not produce a psychoactive effect. only the buds and leaves of the plant do. if you want to eat hemp seed, i doubt it's a sin.

The Bible talks about not getting drunk. That would mean that getting high on alcohol, pot or anything. The reason is that it impares our judgement among other things.
Also, the Bible says we should obey the law. Since pot is illegal it would be classified as a sin to smoke it.

I am a Witch and *pot* is classified as a herb...
I say, to Hell with the Christian laws about this herb...
My Goddess created it and that means that it was put there for me to use....
Do you know why it became illegal in the first place ??..
An American President in the1930's deemed indian hemp illegal, when his brother or brother in law was made the CEO of a new company called Nylex..
Nylex made nylon rope etc, and to no surprise the Church jumped on the band wagon...
Blessed Be...)O(

Pot, drunk as tea is very good for asthma. Everything on this earth, if taken in too much quantity is bad for our health. God advises us for our own good to be careful.

Sure. Are you high right now? Shouldn't you have asked this question before you smoked all that pot and not after?

True what you referred to is true, but if you want to be a true Christian we must not do things that are unpure. Pot is a carcinigen (causes cancer), destroys brain cells, addictive like cigarettes, causes behaviors not normal to people etc. The bible tells us our body is a temple and should be kept free of harmful objects, also applies to alcohol.

It's a sin if you smoke it...not if you eat it based on your implication.

God put everything here for man's use, man legislated away the "God-given" personal freedoms and inalienable rights, in the name of safety, fear, the name of Jesus, or some other b.s. reason.

God says my people perish due to lack of knowledge and this be it my friend. Lack of interpretation skills ...kills.

In the beginning everything God had created for Adam & Eve was perfect until sin entered in and changed it all.

With sin came diseases and the tame animals became wild along with deadly plants.

I sense that you thought you were clever by trying to make a mockery out of God's Word with a juvenile interpretation , twisting it to get what you want it to mean. Picking and choosing and not reading the total Bible from cover to cover in detail format.

God gave us common sense too..if you want to eat or smoke it is your choice, but along with that are consequences of those choices.

He also said that we are to obey the laws of our land. Since this is considered an illegal substance, then you do not have His consent to do it.

If you think that you got Christians on this one then by all means ..why not add in some poison ivy to it while your at it and don't forget to stock your freezer with some of those delicious poision mushrooms for later.

Fortunately God gave Christians common sense and understanding of His Words in order to interpret correctly.

Angry are those who will thumbed this down for they are discouraged and know that their arguement has been lost.
