For the past 9 months I have been talking and falling in love with a great guy. Downfall...we met online and he lives in England. There is talk of me moving there once I am done with college. Spending a remaining semester there for study to see if I like it and if we mesh. He will come here and visit me to see if we even hit it off. But can two people who have never met have those feelings transfer to real life? Or is the whole internet thing a fantasy we place ourselves in when we arent satisfied with the "real" world around us? I would like advice from those who have maybe been in the situation before. I mean I love this guy. I can feel that. I miss him like mad as well. Can it happen can you find true love over the internet? Especially when geography has ruled over it from the get go? Grrr! See so many questions and not enough space. Thanks for any input on if I should stick out thru the long haul.

there is a chnace that you might hit it off but then again there is a chance that the feelings will not be there when you meet. second off be very careful about meeting people from the internet it can be very dangerous. i have been in a situation like this before and i met the guy in person and it was kind of awkward its like you have to start of new like nothing before mattered. so just keep that in mind and keep your options open before commiting to someone you have never met.

i can tell you from personal experience that it is completely possible - right this moment i am sitting next to the love of my life whom i met on the internet - after a few months of just internet and phone, we finally met, and knew it was for real - we lived in different countries too - so we took turns visiting each other and traveling together for a while... now we live together and i've never been happier

the people you meet on the internet are just like the people you meet in real life - sometimes you go out with a guy for a bit and it's a disaster, same thing can happen with online relationships - but if you feel like it's something important, it probably is - but the way to tell how well you really work together is to meet in person - if you haven't done so yet, make plans to meet somewhere, even for just a few days - then you'll know for sure

i was in a similar situation too once upon a time.we live on opposite ends of the country actually but as time progressed we both understood that this virtual world in which we lived couldnt really be converted to real life.a lot of problems like responsiblities, caste related problems and stuff came into the picture.it dint stop us from loving each other less but we realised that in real life things would get complicated if we hooked up. i have read about many incidents where true love was found in the internet successfully i hope it works for u too. all the best!

In my opinion, people tend to say they "fell in love" or "are in love" mainly when ALL is great, new, and no difficult issues to deal with yet. I feel being in love and true love is after you have dealt with some serious trials and have still worked things out. You are in the puppy love stage. Nothing wrong with this, but I do feel more time together and being in a true close relationship will reveal if it will truly work out. Be patient and real. Luck with all
