If you are a researcher of religion then you understand Paganism and Christianity share many things in common, such as the Pagan Guardians of the Watchowers, rulers of the four directions, later became the Christian arch Angels Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, and Raphael. My question is this, where can I find some good sources to Arch Angel magik, info on the guardians of the watchtowers, and how other pagan traits Christianity stole, like Christmas, Easter, and the rebirth of their God. Yes, all those were originally Pagan, then Christianity came along and stole it. So yeah, I need more resources. Any suggestions?

Actually, true Christianity (such as is practiced by Jehovah's Witnesses) continues to reject the pagan apostasies embraced by merely ostensible "Christendom".

Incidentally, while the names "Uriel" and "Raphael" have no connection with the bible, "Gabriel" is named as an angel in both the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures (the so-called "Old" and "New" Testaments).

(Daniel 9:21-22) Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the start, having been made weary with tiredness, was arriving by me at the time of the evening gift offering. And he proceeded to impart understanding and speak with me [the inspired bible writer Daniel]

(Luke 1:19) the angel said to him: “I am Gabriel

Similarly, "Michael" is a biblical (not pagan) archangel. Of course, the bible only uses the term "archangel" in the singular, which is appropriate since the term means "Chief of the Angels". The bible uses that term with the name "Michael" and "Jesus", which teaches that one of the several names used by Jesus is "Michael" (see also Revelation 19:11-13).

(1 Thessalonians 4:14-16) Jesus died and rose again...the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice

(Jude 9) Michael the archangel had a difference with the Devil

I recommend
The Golden Bough
A Study in Magic and Religion
Sir James George Frazer

A monumental study in comparative folklore, magic and religion, The Golden Bough shows parallels between the rites and beliefs, superstitions and taboos of early cultures and those of Christianity. It had a great impact on psychology and literature and remains an early classic anthropological resource.

OK, just so everyone is clear, Paganism was here BEFORE christianity. So, yes, infact Christianity did take a lot of things from Paganism as did probably a lot of other religions. There is no use getting upset about it, it just is the truth.

Two very good sources to begin research from is "The Witch's God" and "The Witch's Goddess" books by Janet and Stewart Farrar. They are a very good look at the archetypes of pagan and even Christian divinity and they reveal many of the overlapping themes.

witchcraft is stupid. you want some witch craft? repeat after me and you will be granted a free happy meal at mcdonalds: "Do you believe in magic
In a young girl's heart
How the music can free her
Whenever it starts, and it's magic
If the music is groovy
It makes you feel happy like an old time movie

I'll tell you 'bout the magic,
and it'll free your soul
But it's like tryin' to tell a stranger
'bout-a rock 'n' roll

If you believe in magic
Don't bother to choose
If it's jug band music
Or rhythm and blues, just go and listen
It'll start with a smile
That won't wipe off your face,
no matter how hard you try

Your feet start tappin' and you can't seem to find
How you got there so just blow your mind

If you believe in magic
Come along with me
We'll dance until morning
'Til there's just you and me, and maybe
If the music is right
I'll meet you tomorrow, sort of late at night

And we'll go out dancin', baby, then you'll see
How the magic's in the music and the music's"

christianity stole nothing! it's a true religion that has been copied by others to form other religions. not the other way around. christianity does not incorporate witchcraft! pagan is a pitiful excuse for a religion for those denying our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

Ha! What are you, 8, boyo?

The only magic that exists is stage magic. If magic existed, people would be flinging lightning bolts out their a r s e s at each other to solve their problems. Has using "magick" (As Aleister Crowley, a man who practiced it who wound up poor and dead spelled it) and it actually WORKING --- EVER been heard of? No. End of story.
