I have lower arm pain, below the elbow. (forearm) Have had test for Carpal Tunnel and was told that I don't have Carpal Tunnel Sydrome. X-rays from the spine and shoulder all clear. No pain from the shoulders or upper arm. Pain comes and goes. More pain at rest. Cramps in my hand/s during the evening which eventually disappear after falling asleep. Once I get going I'm fine. Could this be arthritis or RSI? Do rest my arms but to no avail. Have been on medication, nothing helps. Any suggestions? Isa

This is not a diagnosis, but ask your doctor about fibromyalgia. Your pain patterns sound very much like what we who have it go through. Do a search for fibromyalgia (fm) here in Answers and you'll get a lot of info. You must persist with your doctor, but this is one question to ask.

well it can be anything ranging from a calcium deficiency to diabetic neuropathy to cervical spondylosis to just plain vitamin deiciency. u need to consult a doctor if this problem persists for more than a day or two. ur doc may then prescribe u something depending upon the results of ur examination & ur history. he may also conduct some tests depending upon the resluts of ur examination
