Play the ones by the entrance door. Those one's are rigged so that people win more often because the Casino wants people to see that and then try them out themselves.

Well I don't advise playing the slots because they are the worst investment at the casino. When you walk into a casino all you see is thousands of slot machines. That is because the casino makes the most off of them so they want a billion in there.

But, if you are going to play slots, here are a couple tips:

1) Play the higher denomination slots such as $.25, $1 or more. The house advantage is much more on the penny and nickles because the house has to win more often to make a profit.

2) Play the maximum amount of coins. If you are going to play, you might as well go for the top jackpot prize and you can only win it by betting the max coins. Don't bother playing 1 or 2 coins because if you do hit the top payline, you will feel foolish walking out with $100 instead of $10,000!!

3) The top rated slot in Slots Magazine for 2006 was the Sizzling 7's machine. If you can find one of these you may do better on average.

4) Play video poker if you are knowledgable on poker. There are many experts who claim video poker is beatable in the longrun.

5) It is just a myth that the "hot" machine are on the outer part of a row or are near the door. Each machine is programmed with a microchip to payout a certain amount and all of the machines have about the same chance to payout.

6) I do agree that some of the smaller casinos have better payouts. If you are talking about Vegas, go downtown or out to Laughlin to play the slots. On average, the bigger the casino, the worse the slots payouts. A prime example of this is my local casino Foxwoods. It is the biggest casino in the world and has the worst slot payouts in the U.S. They set their machines to payout at 75%-80% of the time (terrible odds).

Play the slots for fun but don't expect to make a quick million. Good luck and happy gambling!!

Even yesterday I lost 140 euros in the slots. Always hoping to win big. Always (or almost) losing. One of these days I'll just have to call it quits forever because you'ree not supposed to win and you should know better. Unfortunately, there's no easy money on this crappy planet. Some are rich, some are poor and the ones in the middle are f****d, fact of life.

Anyway, here's a good reading for you if you wish to know how slot machines really work: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slot_machine

yeah, don't play them. I'll tell you this though. In vegas the best machines are downtown. Playing slots at the airport...heh, just give me ten bucks, I'll kick you in the balls and call it good.

What Ryan said is correct. Other than that, there is nothing else you can do. The odds are of course against you, so I wouldn't stick any money into the thing to begin with. Unless they wanted to put the odds in my favor, of course ;)

Soft wear seems to be set up for certain days that there is poor pay outs such as pension days or Government pay days for welfare .You have to be prepared to go a lot and on a day they are paying go for the $1 dollar machines .~~
