cardio exercises remove fat. try jogging every morning for the next 2 weeks and i guarantee u will see reduction in fat. but remember that fat in different areas will be reduced at different rates. for example, the fat around your glutes will decrease a lot slower than the fat around your arms. then again, all people r different. plz, for teh good of your health, body, mind, and family, exercise and b the best you, u can be. i know thats a cliche but it should b enforced. RUN! JUMPROPE! JOG! BIKE! easy as quantum physics

Exercise, running specially. Drink enough water, around 8 glasses per day is said to be good. Stop eating junk food. And don't drink as you eat. They say drinking and eating at the same time make the fat in the food go to the walls of the stomachs.

Cardio is the key. Along with eating right of course. And crunches.
Cut back on the unhealthy snacks that you pick up when you want something small to eat, and grab an apple or a glass of ice water (it works).
Before you eat, drink some orange juice too... it will help you fill up faster so you won't eat as much.

Honestly, there is no one way to lose weight in one area; however, you can try a few things, like your Mom said, you can walk......try 30 minutes a day.....6 times a week and do push-ups, squats (holding in your stomach), and crunches (every other day).......24 oz of milk or dairy daily.....calcium is suppose to help you lose tummy fat.......
Low carbs, high protein is a great diet.......let me know how you do. I have lost 90 lbs and kept it off for several years now and this is how I did it.....

you cant spot reduce body fat
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and it burns fat all over your body - running, jogging, hiking, swimming, elliptical, cycling, rope jumping, dancing etc - do them 4-6 times a week for average of 45min, dont stick to one thing, mix them up because the more you keep your body guessing the more fat you will lose
also sensible, healthy, fresh, unprocessed diet is important and its the key to weight loss.

Eat more fruits and vege's instead of snacking on biscuits, and exercise more. No need to hold your stomach in, but run run run and do as much exercise as you can.
