hey doodle bug. i dig your curly hair.

you can't tell just by looking, or asking. i thought i was a christian for 7 years before i actually became one. i misunderstood because my mom is and i went to church and i thought i understood things of the bible. i would have defended my Christianity (and i did). however, when it happened for real i knew it and i couldn't deny it and neither could anyone else. some people sincerely think that they are and will tell you so (like me years ago) but they are not. some people are Christians but because of their lifestyle and choices it would seem that they aren't. if you have a doubt about anyone being a christian you should just leave it to God to decide and pray for that person to realize that they need Jesus to go to heaven.

You really can't tell - that's God's job anyway. You can't go entirely by workds or actions because Christians are not perfect and do/say a lot of un-Christian things.

A person's statement of being a believer is a positive sign for "maybe" - a statement of "hell no!" is probably a good sign the person is not. But neither are certain.

Jesus told a story about the tares (toxic weeds) in the wheat field. The workers wanted to cull the tares, and the farmer said no - wait until the harvest. The dnager was they they might mistake a wheat (believer) for a tare (non-believer) and so God's plan is to sort it out later.

Any present-day speculation by people (Christians or non-Christians alike) on whether so-and-so is a believer is a vain effort and little good can come from it.

Hope that helps - probably not but imho that's the way it is.

Peace. Love. Rock & roll.

I think that it is hard because some non-christians display better christian traits than the christians. You can't judge a book by the cover.

Good question and not so easy to answer, I know people who professed to be christians but are not!!!

Jesus says that we recognize a tree by it's fruits. That means (if you have a bit of knowledge what a true christian should be) it is not only in what they say, but how they say, how they act in public or in private, how their heart is before God. Not easy because there are many fakes out there, but when I don't know I ask God, I always see clearly then. It is called discernment.

But look at how they realy act with others, their love, kindness and compassion for others, who ever those others may be. That is how we are to be recognized.

Jesus also said:
Joh 13:34 I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. As I have loved you, you should also love one another. 35 By this all shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love toward one another.

I was christian but now i prefer nondenominational

a christian follows pagan rituals unknowingly and calls all other religions cults and puts them down

others try to find out more about the bible and don't assume everything a so called pastor says is god's word and can think for themselves

You will know them by their fruit........... A true believer has the Holy Spirit on the inside of them. It should be obvious.

However, a lot of it is the wheat and tares sort of thing too. We won't know about some until we all stand before God.

This is a thought - provoking question. I'm going to give you a star.

Christians blame devil because of the fact he's the only that makes us sin. in case you image the sketch the place they have the devil one one shoulder, and the angel on the different, this is type of what it is like. God needs us to have confidence Him, and as quickly as we do, devil will no longer be able to touch us because of the fact we are a baby of God. yet whilst devil temps us into specific issues, they often are not reliable issues. yet God gave us freewill to make our very own options, so in case you prefer to do what devil needs then its probable no longer reliable. because of the fact of this Christians blame devil. yet they must blame the people who're making the innovations, exceptionally in the event that they are non-believers. because of the fact in the event that they do no longer know God, then they do no longer know the version between the two. To do suitable and incorrect. particularly of blaming the guy, they must be encouraging them to do Godly issues and to have confidence God. So in the event that they are "real Christians", they do no longer look to be Satanists.

A Christian follows the teachings and guidance of Jesus, and a non-Christian doesn't, or doesn't necessarily.
