I support Israel not only because I am a Jew, but because as a Jew I try to do what is right and supporting Israel is the right thing to do. Put aside the fact that if I as a Jew ever get in to trouble (let's say France gives birth to a new Hitler--improbable but work with me) Israel is the only country in the world that will stand up for me and all my fellow Jews. Put aside the fact that it is the home of my heart, the place my soul was born. But aside the fact that our great rabbis and leaders yearned for the Jewish people to have a home in that land. Put aside the fact that G-d Himself promised us that land.

Israel was legally conceived by law in 1948. It was attacked the very next day and was conceived a second time in war. It is attacked constantly by terrorism both physically and mentally (suicide bombers and Holocaust deniers) and still, it's army has managed to earn the title not only the one of the best in the world but also the most moral in the world. It is the only country to outlaw all forms of torture--all forms, including sleep deprivation, loud music played at all times in the interrogation room, and keeping the suspect in uncomfortable positions to warrant a confession (which forms are still legal and in use even in the United States of America). Through media slander and attacks, it has stayed strong and tried to work for peace through the many times it should have just told the PLO to shove it. It is one of the only nations in the world to ever give up land in the sake of peace, and even after nothing good came of it (in fact, it was backstabbed by the very people it was making peace with) it still to this day struggles to find a peaceful solution.

I support Israel because it's the right thing to do as a Jew, as a human, as a member of a civilized society.

I'm a Christian and I believe since God revealed thousands of years ago that he was going to bring the Jewish people back to "their" land (Ezekiel 36 for example), it was obviously something very important to him. So it's important to me too. Even if I were an atheist though, I have to think I'd want a there to be a country where Jews could live (and rule) since so many people worldwide have this irrational hatred for them.

I support Israel because she is the only democracy in the Middle East and because she has had to fight for her very survival from day one. I feel that diasopra Jews MUST speak out in defence of Israel, especially in the UK where people don't get the real facts about what is happening and are convinced that Israel is always in the wrong.

I support no country but only the one that is my home and my land. The place that I was born and the place I will die one day. I hope God to bless my country (not the goverment) and its people.

I support Israel (as a Messianic Gentile) because God loves and cares for the Jewish people forever and because almost every good thing in my life was given to me by the Jewish people.

*The Bible-- given and preserved often at great cost

*Understanding of who God is through the Bible
*My heroes in the faith-- David, Moses, Joshua, Caleb, Pincas, Samuel, Elijah, Josiah, Hezekiah, Daniel, Jonathan, Miriam, Boaz and Ruth, Isaiah, Hadassah (Esther),Yochanan, Rav Shaul (Paul), Kefa (Peter), Yeshua--- more than I can count.
*Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) -- forgiveness and eternal life

God says the dust of Jerusalem is precious to Him.
He says that a woman may forget her nursing child, but He will never forget His people Israel.

The King of the Universe, the God of Israel, reached out to me when I was a teenager and invited me to come shelter under His care. He is the Creator of the Universe, but He listens to each person as if each one was the only one.

He fulfills His promises. He told us that He would bring the Jewish people back home to their land. Which other people have been dispersed, remained a nation, and have come back to their land after two thousand years? A "nation born in a day" is what happened in 1948-- just as He promised in Isaiah.

I love Jewish culture (and its diversity) and Jewish people. When I visited Israel, I wasn't ready to leave when our group was going home.

Against tremendous obstacles, with courage, integrity, and trust, Am Israel Chai (The Jewish people live!)

i DONT because its very existence is illegal and a crime.
Miss Mina wrote: "I believe in self determination". Well i guess you also believe in terrorism, in indescriminate killing of women and kids and war crimes as that is what Israel is responsible for. Thats why i can guarantee you that Israel will soon be gone.
Dont matter the time scale. 5 years 10 years even 20 years but it will be rid of. Its only a matter of time before people wake up and realize what Israel really is and who the real terrorists are...

Well, I am a Jew. Israel is the only country in the world that would fight for me.

Aside form that, Israel is a democracy in which everyone is free to practice their religion, in which all are free to prosper- and which has been surrounded by hostile countries, dedicated to its destruction since it was declared, it is under attack by terrorists that espouse a genocidal agenda, their rhetoric attacking Jews, not Israel. Israel has my support and always will.
