Im really concerned about my friend, he works out every single day for about 4 hours and he eats A Lot , yet he's really skinny. WHen he flexes his muscle shows but he should be wayyy more muscular and "bigger" than that. It shows that he works out but not as much as he really does. He goes crazy if he doesnt work out for a day. So whats the problem ? The amount of excersize he does youll think he should be one of those big strong weight lifters. Thank You in advance !

OK, first of all he works out way too much. Four hours of working out is much too much to do at once, and doing it every day is too much also. He should be working out for an hour or maybe an hour and a half three or four times per week. Also, he may need to eat more if scaling back on the workouts doesn't help. If he's using light weights he won't make that much progress either. Good night!

Well being in the gym for 4 hours is way to long in the first place. You really shouldn't be in there any more than 2 hours at the most, an hour is a more likely justifiable time.

He needs to REST. Working out everyday will get you nowhere. You will keep breaking down muscle and it won't have enough time to heal itself. He needs to intake more calories and more protein.

He'll also want to lower the reps and use more weight. Stretch before and after. I would only lift 4-5 days a week. No more than that. And on the other days do 30-45 mins of any type of aerobic exercise.

It sounds like he has an addiction to working out, and that can lead to many problems.

Probably because he is really skinny & his body is used to being skinny. If he probably stopped working out for a month or 2 & keep eating the way he does then he will gain weight. Then since he has some meat on his bones then he can start working out again & then I assure you he will lose the weight & have muscle.

A few things could be wrong. He could not be lifting enough weight to shock his body into building more muscle. He also needs to let his body REST. Rest is when your body grows. He needs to take at least one day off a week with no training. He sounds like he is overtraining himself, and therefore just spinning his wheels.
