Alright, for the past 4 times that I've asked girls out, they weren't interested, we decided to stay friends, and it either worked or it didn't (because there was a one sided attraction and I had to cut off the friendship, even though it was very good it just didn't work)

I'm 19, male. I'm sick of this nonsense. I'm never going to agree to be "friends" with a girl who rejects going out and that's the lesson I had to learn the hard way.

I'm simply going to stop caring about rejections and move on. Instead of working on girls, I'm just going to focus on myself - working out, education (full time univ student), etc... that's it. If there's one person I truly love (besides my family) right now it's just myself. I'm sick and tired of trying to get into a relationship.

Am I doing the right thing?

You're on the right track. Persue your happiness, and then when the time comes take time out for romance.

Not to be rude ........ But this is uncommon.
You are actually a very inteligent man, albeit a teenager. I have dated men in their 40's who have mentalities of a 12 year old. Work on yourself, the right woman will come along. It may take time, but it will be well worth it. Women can be ignorant ........ but with time and growing, we eventually get things straight. Keep going to school and ignore everything else.

Yes. Concentrate on your studies, health & family. These three things would last you a lifetime. Girls could wait & in time would surely come. Might be that the girl destined for you might bump into you when you are not seeking her.

I think you answered your own question. They do say that you always find love when you're not looking! Focus on you, and the rest will fall into place.
