This guy is very obsessive, possessive and supposedly in love with me. I have been ignoring him for a week and he won't stop. My mom advised me to ignore him because he would eventually stop but he hasn't. She also said that if broke things off to him verbally that his actions may be extreme.
Any thoughts?

You should tell him plain and simple that you are not interested in him and ask that he stops contacting you. Make it clear to him and if it does continue I would consider speaking to the police to get their opinion on what you can do. If this is making you feel uncomfortable and unsafe, definitely contact the police.

Before this go far than it is, have a serious talk with him and tell him that you had enough, he is doing it to get even with you, and it's normal for him to act this way but it's enough now, he should not be doing it all the time, tell him that he must stop or else things will start to get bad between you and this could cause problem.

since ignoring him sint working i would try texting (not calling because otherwise it could get awkward) him "im sorry but i just dont feel the same way about you and i really need some space". be nice so he doesnt have a reason to get angry. from there you should use your own judgement as to whether or not to talk to him or ignore him.

My friend had the same thing happen to her. My other friend [dylan]'s brother [travis]like stalked her. Eventually she had to change her number.
I suggest that.
Or if it progresses to a rediculous lvl call the cops and he can be charged with threatening, and stalking you if you get proof.

Change your phone number. Your service will probably charge you. But if the guy hasn't gotten the hint by now, he probably wont.

Tell him that you have a boyfriend and that you don't believe in cheating. And when he calls you the next time have a male friend answer the phone.

i know how ya feel..when i ignore a guy never makes him go away!..unless you wait for months..What i do is say.somthing stupid like..my cell phone is getting turned off..start a fight with him?..be a Bit*h.8].....or i felt so bad.but sometimes you just gotta say..can you stop callin me..i dont like you.

tell him to back off..and that you need space..yeesh..i hate to admit it..this situation has me thinking about being more carefull on how much i contact my female friends..i forgot how creepy it comes off as..lol..ok..best of luck letting the obssessive guy to back off..just tell him that he has to stop! its hurtfull..but trust me,if you dont, it doesnt seem like he will get a clue..if that dont work then get a restraining order..i dunno..best of luck...it sucks to be in that situation.

ASK HIM HAS HE EVER SEEN THE INSIDE OF A JAIL CELL AND WOULD LIKE HE TO UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL LIKE? HAVE HIS NUMBER BLOCKED AND REPORT HIS BUTT FOR HARASSMENT IF ALL ELSE FAILS.
GIVE HIM NOTICE THAT ITS NOT COOL AND YOU ARENT INTERESTED AT ALL AND NEVER WILL BE. BE GENTLE BUT BE DIRECT ABOUT IT.
