I know of two or three people that have taken off work for some event related to J.W. Two of them are in Ky for the event. I was just curious. I know that they do not celebrate traditional holidays.

Jehovah's Witnesses are not taking part in any holiday. However, all over the world our 2007 District convention entitled, "Follow the Christ" is taking place the event is Fri, Sat. and Sun. most Jehovah's Witnesses leave for the convention city on Thursday and check into their hotels where they are staying.

They are probably going to their District Convention. It begins on Friday and goes through Sunday. The title of the convention is "Follow the Christ"
Some of the topics they will be learning about include:
*Husbands, Wives, Parents, Children-Follow the Model
*Precious Gems From the Sermon on the Mount
*Who are the Real followers of Christ?
And on Sunday there will be a full costume Bible Drama based on Colossians 3:12

not a religious holiday. Jehovah Witnesses around the world have conventions and take off from Friday until Sunday to listen to talks that come from Jehovah God. we have one day assemblies, two day assemblies and three day conventions that are held in the summer

You might be referring to some1's District Convention, but that depends on region. I live in Houston, TX, and we've already had ours.
