some people think they got everything figured out and they cannt believe that anyone would have the nerve to disagree with them so they get angry and lash out.

On one hand, I think a lot of people are so opinionated that they feel offended or intimidated by some one else's opinion and feel the need to force their views onto someone else.
On the other hand, the internet's disadvantage over person-to-person communication is not knowing tone of voice or expression or mannerisms. I can think of a handful of emails I've sent my mom (who is very sensitive however) that she found insulting, but were really only insulting if they were said in the wrong tone of voice. And I suppose it goes vice versa, some people may think the question is rude (when not thought of in the right way) and the person asking may think the answerer is being rude when they don't intend to be.
But I agree with you. People on here can get rude for dumb reasons and read into the simplest questions way to much. I have a tendency of just deleting questions of mine when people start leaving rude things. Thats not what this website is for.

I'm sorry if I have been rude to any one. I pray for the lost, but some time reading what they write makes me mad. Why can they see they are walking into hell. I want to scream at them. I want to tell them if they don't wake up you will end up worse then you could ever imagine.

Because there are tons of religious views on here. They clash and there is bound to be some "arguing". I mean it is unaviodable, and some tend to be rude. But think nothing of it.. usually the rude ones have a hard time accepting what they believe, and want others to feel bad.

I do not know.
Could it be the anonymity of the Internet?
Here is an interesting parallel that seems to fit.
When driving on the freeway, if you use your turn signal to try and get over a lane, what usually happens is that the car next to you speeds up and will not let you over.
But, if you roll down your window, and make eye contact with the driver of the car next to you while signaling, they will always let you over.
Why? Because now, it is a person who is "asking" to be allowed to change lanes, not a "car"trying to get in front of them.
Try this sometime. I figured this one out several years ago, and am quite amazed at the truth of it.
Does this illustration fit?

I agree we don't have to be rude. But we should be willing to give our honest opinions. Some people are rude cause they are fighting back cause they were deleted and got their feelings hurt.
I may be wrong, but that is what I think.
See I received a thumbs down. cause someone didn't like the fact that I was giving my opinion (earlier). So I removed it. Now that same person may be reporting me. Then I will feel bad, and try and guess who is restricting my freedom of speech. -- It's a vicious circle. --
So I will start by forgiving whoever hurt my feelings.

I don't know, but I do find it interesting that most religious people here are respectful even when discussing the beliefs of others, while the rude posters usually are irreligious or even anti-religious.
