If you got a violation notice it was probably reported. But Yahoo goes threw and auto deletes any thing that looks like a prayer request. I don't know why they just do. So take heart you may not have been attacked by anyone other than Yahoo. Sorry this happened to you.
I may have an idea. If enough got together and in the question just stated "Question on Psalm 151?" we would know it was a prayer request. Then in the additional details give the request. Such as, "Do you think this would be of benifit to my sick mother who has been in the hosipital."
Let me know what you think.

Yahoo has filters and stuff gets scored a certain way. I haven't played with it since they tweaked things, but when you post a prayer request or something similar it comes down pretty fast. They hit it hard when a regular was in the hospital too. It happened way to fast for reporting, so it was them catching it.
They want this to be question/answer. Not a prayer request/chat room. So they are going to hit it.

Relax. That report button gets clicked all the time 'round these parts, and if our accounts weren't virtual, we'd need a graveyard for all the deleted ones. Just write it off to another insensitive sap who just can't handle the fact that you have a different take on things than they do. Saddly, Yahoo doesn't seem to actually get involved in moderating things, so any post can be reported for absolutely any reason by absolutely anyone at absolutely any time. There's really nothing any of us on an individual basis can do about it.

I don't know the entire situation, but I'm guessing you asked for a prayer request and some people got their wands all up in a knot. That was rude, disrespectful, and a far cry from tolerant. If you want to ask for a prayer request to all who want to pray for you, no harm in that. It's not like you said "EVERYONE MUST PRAY" or anything. Amen sista!

I do agree with prayer request and feel this should be the perfect place to ask, and you have made a very good assertion. I agree if someone is offended turn it off, they have that control, that's what I do if something offends me, I also pray for them. Bless You. Isaiah 54:17

I guess they want us friendly but not that friendly. If you were having sex it would be OK ....if it was protected....but since you were asking for prayer, they drew a line and said it was "wrong." By doing so they became intolerant and closed minded to people that are different from them....the very thing they call you.
What I like are those who condemn you for holding the line as if their condemnation is justified and non-hypocritical. And the best part is they won't realize they are.
We are all sheep and we all go astray. You know that Jesus said there would be days like this.
Fretting over this incident isn't worth your time.

that's a shame! some give Christians such a hard time for following and loving God! as much as Ive been offended with some VERY foul and rude words i have not reported it, but yet i also got deleted! i think for now on when i see nasty, rude talk I'm gonna report it cause that's the whole purpose of the yahoo report. i agree if you dont like reading it them maybe they should get a category "atheist" then they can down grade, cuss, talk all nasty that they want cause they we ll be amongst themselves.

I want a section here called "Meetings and Greetings" where you could say something like "Happy Arbor Day to all my Y!A friends!" or "My aunt could use your prayers, if you would be so kind."
Do uyou see it? No, because Y!A really doesn't care to be helpful to the members

I completely agree. I got reported once for asking, get this, "I'm making a brew, does anyone want one?" How on earth is that offensive to anyone?

I don't report prayer requests, but I'll often leave a smart aleck answer. Hope you feel better after your gripe. :-)
