First of all pot is illegal . It's bad when so many kids are smoking pot at such a young age . And it does often lead to harder drugs .
Personally I think it should be legalized for medical purposes . It has helped with so many diseases .

I have no idea. As a former bouncer I can tell you this much ;I would rather deal with an 18year old kid that smoked two joints than an 18 year old kid that drank two six-packs any day of any week. The kid that smoked two joints is not going to get beer muscles and make my life difficult.
As far as that nonsense about marijuana being a gateway drug goes. it's exactly that ; nonsense. The only reason that marijuana would remotely be considered a gateway drug is not that it leads to other drugs but rather because since it's illegal it leads you to people that HAVE other drugs and do other illegal activities.
In a way a misguided government policy created criminals from a class of people who normally would not have been.

The chemicals in it that robs the brain cells and ruins your smarts, but it can some medical benefits for the people who are very ill like cancer patients. Also gives you short term memory. And don't believe the guy above me, tremors, alter perception of time, headaches?, no. I use to smoke the stuff and it never did any thing like he listed. It can make you tired sometimes which is why you should not drive while high or could fall asleep behind the wheel and crash.

Well first off there are postive things and negative things people have to say about it. I think alot of things are sterotyped about it, just like the ''drug'' itself. I dont use it nor care to but, my uncle has a very rare form of cancer and was given it as a treatment. He went into remission very soon after. So, it has good parts and bad parts really. I mean its all in what people think about users. When some people think about it, they think about the 70's and think it makes people act crazy or very silly, but really it calms and relaxes alot of people. Like people said before it can be expensive, but what doesnt get expensive after using it for a long time?? It's all in peoples mind, if they sterotype and think it's bad then you cant change their mind but I dont think its really as bad as some people make it.... it saved my uncle's life! hope this answers youre question.

Honestly not that much. If you smoke it it is somewhat harmful because breathing smoke isn't good for your lungs. It helps cancer patients who suffer from loss of appetite and vomiting ( due to chemo therapy) eat again. Elderly ppl with arthritis who are in constant pain find some relief. If you want to see how good medical marijuana really is check out the study on medical marijuana and Alzheimer's disease which is a huge problem in our elderly population (absolutely amazing). As far as a recreational drug there really isn't anything wrong with it either, it sure as heck is a lot safer and better for you then alcohol.

I see no bad about it. It is natural and not synthesized. A simple plant that could be considered a "weed". Smoking it for nearly 30 years, I have obtained a BA and and MA and in my studies I have found not adverse affects. Tobacco has more harmful affects as well as alcohol and these are made to be synthetics.

"Pot" should be controlled, but not illegal. It should not be any different than tobacco or alcohol.

nothing really. the government banned it because of racism, xenophobia and to control the hemp market. they have spread vicious lies about pot ever since and unjustly jailed innocent people.

nobody has ever died from marijuana. marijuana is not addictive. marijuana has not been linked to lung cancer (or any cancer), so statements that one joint is like "10 cigarettes" is nothing but propaganda. it has many medicinal uses and is a very mellow high with no hangover.

it is called the "gateway drug" because there is virtually nothing bad about it so the government had to make stuff up. marijuana is bad because sometimes people who smoke it do heroin? i bet all those people drank alcohol before they smoked weed... so why isn't alcohol the "gateway" drug?

marijuana DOES NOT kill brain cells. the only danger of smoking pot is that you might get arrested by our corrupt government. if it was legal there would be no significant danger whatsoever, it's about as harmful as chocolate.

I use pot all the time, to cook spagetti, sauces, soups.
I don't see the issue.

Not everything can be fried or barbequed.

It was banned because some politician needed to take a stance on something. It helped with his political gain and was a way to try and get rid of illegal immigrants.

I don't find anything wrong with it. Of course some people abuse it, but usually everything turns out fine. Whatever you do in your own house is your business.
