We cannot get a real and lasting happiness in this world because everything in this world is temporal (temporary). But don’t worry God promise to the people who are willingly to follow Him, that he will give them an eternal happiness. I quote this verse to give you inspiration “1Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. “

The first thing to understand about real happiness is that it is not the result of gratifying our desires, for these are superficial and do not last. True happiness is only possible when we are at peace with ourselves.
This is happiness that is real and enduring, and it begins with the relationship we have with ourself. This relationship determines how we perceive ourself and our life. Our relationship with ourself determines how we respond to life and how we relate to everyone else around us.

If we have a good relationship with ourself, we will perceive the world in a more open warm and positive way — and this will characterize all our interactions. If we have a poor relationship with ourself, the world will appear in a more negative light, and happiness will forever elude us.
Once we have started to realise that our worth or value does not lie in our accessories — our body, our talents, or status, or brain — we can start to become much more honest and open about ourselves. By detaching from our self-image, we can see that we are not defined by whatever we, or others, have always thought about us. We can also start to look at our shortcomings in a different light, for the way we view and handle our shortcomings is another important factor in how we can come to terms with ourselves and find true happiness and peace.

When it comes to being open with others, most of us are simply not happy to show our true self and this is mainly because we find it almost impossible to live with our shortcomings. Very few of us like to own our shortcomings, and so we desperately try to hide them, even from ourselves. But the truth is that our shortcomings are nothing more than our undeveloped potential. Therefore not to own our shortcomings is to deny ourselves part of our potential, and if we do that, is it not surprising that we end up being unhappy?

Regards,
Prodigy.

I've thought about this a little. You could travel the world, earn extraordinary riches, fame; but when it all boils down, I think it's love that's the point. What happens when you have achieved and surpassed all your ambitions? You may race to the next, and that can be satisfying - even necessary for many - but I doubt there is a more complete contentment than that brought by having someone to love, whether it be a friend, or a mate.

Second on my list is self discovery. I think there are few things that bring more satisfaction than learning about yourself, and others, or than learning in general. The world is there, for you to consume with your eyes and mind and heart, and there is a lot of beauty, in many forms, for you to grasp. (Sometimes it's pain or struggle, despair; or humor, and laughter; but appreciating all the sides of life is how to fill your soul and enlighten your mind/spirit.)

Those to me are the two great tools - love and knowledge - and the two greatest and most adventuresome conquests, with the greatest rewards..

It's not easy to do, with the current state of affairs in the world. No one can stay happy ALL the time, but one can choose to be happy most times. The best way is to get in touch with your Higher Self to ask for guidance and help and follow the hunches you get. Happiness is a conscious choice.

Lasting happiness lies in doing what u like and liking what u do. Keep on learning new things as ur hobbies. It will keep excitement alive in ur life and consequently success in having learnt new hobby will give u happiness. But u must ve someone close to ur heart with whom u share ur joy. Joy when shared becomes double and sorrow when shared reduces to half. So love the ones who care for u and whom u wish to hug. U may have large no. of fans but u do want a person who would be very happy in ur achievement and become ur inspiration. But do not imprison that love. Give space to that love and be an inspiration to ur love in doing what she wants to do so that u r able to sustain and value true love.

IMHO the secret is acceptance of everything. If you can tell yourself that what happens, happens and worrying or getting angry or anxious won't change anything, then you can stay calm and be happy within yourself. Let things be as they are and let go of the struggle. Of course if you can change a situation and make it better for yourself or others then that is better still. But mostly unhappiness is caused by longing for something to be different or better or to never have happened. Peace comes with acceptance. Happiness comes with peace.

I do not think you really can. I think you can have momentary happiness and can appreciate that and live in the moment with it rather than fearing when it will go away.

There will always be pain and suffering though. There are those who have learned to see the good in these situations too though some of them are deluding themselves. Those who are truly enlightened are few and far between.

Becoming a Christian brings peace and joy to us but doesn't promise that we will always be happy. Happiness depends on what happens and the Bible tells us that in this world we will have trouble. But, in the midst of these troubles, Jesus can fill us with joy that passes all understanding.

Only by fully surrendering our hearts and minds to The Supreme Personality of Godhead also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. Which means accepting a bonafide Spiritual Master in a pure line of disciplic succession who has seen Krishna directly. Which means they are fully surrendered souls.

exciting theory. regrettably we do stay in severe cases tricky to handle (2Tim3:a million-5) yet this does not mean all wish is lose. Gods purpose has no longer replaced and he cares approximately each and each human beings and it hurts him to confirm us go through as a results of devil's assaults (1John5:19) yet at Psalms 37:11,12 he shares with us the wish he set out before everything of Genesis we study he located a guy and a women human beings in a paradise earth and gave them appropriate situations and appropriate existence yet on disobedience they lost that on the instant yet god has no longer replaced an nonetheless plans to hold perfection to us all in his due time if we draw on the ingredient of him and get comprehend him and his will greater heavily we are in a position to be an element of this genuine existence!
