Hard fruit such as apples and pears are also best stored in a dark cool place. Bananas shouldn't be stored near to other frit as they give off a gas that ripens fruit, although this is helpful if you need to ripen fruit.
Oranges and grapefruit can just be left out and most other soft fruit can be stored in the fridge.

Keep them in the fridge and rotate them daily like others have said but also spray or brush on lemon juice on the skin of the fruit. It keeps them better and you can always wash it later.

no always keep in fridge because little bugs and flys always eat the outside of fruits and thats what makes it bad, the fridge will keep the fruits raw, fresh, and cold
