I believe there is absolute truth.
I believe I don't always know what it is.
If there's no way of knowing, then there's no way of knowing there's no way of knowing. If you know there's no way of knowing, then there can't be no way of knowing, since you know there's no way of knowing. So there must be some way of knowing.
I believe I'm pretty close. Closer to the truth than I am to non-truth.

HOW WOULD YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE DEAD?
Read Ecclesiastes 9:5,10, Ecclesiastes 3:19
Everything a person learns takes effort to acquire knowledge on any given subject, whether it be work, education, beliefs, etc.
Everything we learn is decided in our minds or hearts and we form our opinions.
If you are a reasonable person then you need at the least to be open to reasonable discussion.
Is there a way to find out if there is a true way that would give us a longer and a better life now and in the future?
As I look at the record of all the religions of the world including Christianity, I see a real failure.
The mistake that most people make is that they associate the bible with these religions.
Just as you did when you said there is no true way of knowing unless your dead? meaning you believe your soul lives on?
Read Ezekiel 18:4
If you would like to put me to the test feel free to do so.
I believe there is a way. gemhandy@gmail.com

well I'll start off by telling you I'm not a religious person at all. I hate religion and I hate the bible. I think both are a bunch of bull. I believe what I believe and thats it. as for whether or not I think what I believe is right...I have no idea but I know it puts me no worse off then anyone else becuase nobody knows if their religion is right or wrong. there are just too many out there so at least I'm not following the wrong religion, I'll following what is right for me and not getting mixed up with a bunch of people who think they are living the way god would want them to, but really they dont have a clue and they criticize others who dont follow what they do.

You can tell who's on the right path or not by how "fruitful" their lives are. Most people claim to believe, but their lives are not much different from those who claim not to believe. The effort they put in to their beliefs only requires one hour a week of worship. If our jobs only required us to work one hour a week in order to get our full salary, heck, everyone would believe, wouldn't they.
The truth is there for the whole world to see, but maybe we're all looking in the wrong places for it. If you're looking within yourself or basing the truth on your own understanding, you will be like a dog chasing after it's tail. We need to look beyond ourselves for the answers to life's many questions. Try reading the Bible, just try, what can it hurt? At least, after you've read it, then you can make a more educated decision whether or not you really choose to believe it as the Truth or Fiction.

Yes I do. You have free will to choose to be a Bahai or not. None can force you too, unless after your "Free willed" Individual investigation you believe it is true to your heart(and your life, and lifestyle), and you believe the sayings, and Bahai Laws are true, You become a Bahai.
Bahai's believe in a Higher being(He is called Divine, God, Spirit, Abha, Shiva, Allah, etc). All the names of God is the name of a Single God according the Bahai(faith or religion).

Organized religion is the traditions of man and not of God
How come by my faith and my obedience I see and feel things happen by a higher power?
DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)
MY EXPERIENCES
Yes. I experienced God many of times, when you fellowship with him. He will be there for you, he knows your needs and wants. One night after doing the will of God (ministering to some one) I was driving back home and I continued to fall asleep on the fwy. On the third time, I felt a rush of pins and needles hit the inside of my head, from my elbows to my hands and then I was wide awake. I drove all the way home and when I got into the driveway I started to fall a sleep. Once he picked me and my motorcycle up, while riding in the mountains after I was about to crash. He set me back on the path and I woke up. Once he sent an angle down to stop me from doing something stupid, this angle looked like a human but when I turned away for a second and then back he vanished. I can go on and on. Have faith, sit in a church and learn God's word.
To live in this putrid world, I rather have God back me up in any situation, which he does. Rely on him and he will make it happen but first, what have you done for him!

I know what I know because I experienced God directly when I was seventeen.
I also know this is proof for me, not anyone else.
I encourage skepticism, logic (formal, not "common sense" which is a myth), and science.
I also appreciate our freedom of religion, and respect the right of anyone who wants to to believe what they choose.
I have no religion, nor beliefs.
There is a way to know. I wish all of could have it. Understand why Atheists feel the way they do.

not a religion
Jesus was outside of organized religion
Jesus said he was the door and no one could climb up any other way, Jesus said there would be False Prophets and False Christ saying come over here, he said go not after them

It is not up to us to tell someone if their beliefs are right or wrong. They are their beliefs and therefore are entitled to them. As for knowing for sure, you are right. No one knows what is going to happen after we all become worm food.

It isn't reasonable to believe in anything with no evidence. That isn't going to get you 100% but it will get you to the point where the odds are staggeringly low that there is one.
