It used to be the practice of all Christian churches to keep the practice of circumcision because it was a symbol of the Old Covenant.

Now this is not required by most denominations. I, personally think that if God gave it as an Old Covenant law it is probably the best way to go, but that is my personal philosophy.

Circumcision is started since thousand years ago at the era of Abraham prophet in line with islamic teaching.Abraham was the ancestor of jews, christians and muslims. So based on the tradition of Abraham I think most jews, christians and all muslim men are circumcised.Chritians and jews are the descendant of Ishaq the younger son of Abraham and muslims are the descendant of Ismael the old brother of Ishaq and the eldest son of Abraham. So the 3 biggest religion followers have trhe sama tradition of sircumcision.
Circumcision is the cutting of forepart of son;s privy or penis of male organ. In the tradition its slight forepart is cut by a doctor at the age between one week baby up to six years old
son.By circumcision the penis will be easily cleaned and can be kept always neat.If he has grown up his penis grew bigger and longer and it wiil be more resistant and can last longer
in making his love than the uncircumcised one..A circumcised
man can make more satisfaction to his spouse than the uncircumcised one.

christianity proved that uncircumscision is the same thing as those that are circumcised.
there was a great debate between peter and paul on this topic

Paul won the debate by humilating Peter and declaring him a hypocrite.

while circumscision is a healthy choice, there are those that are not circumcized who have salvation while Jews will be forbidden from the salvation of the lord, even if they are circumcized.

circumcision not only symbolizes a covenant between men and God but it is not JUST a physical resolution, it can be symbolic and spiritual. Adam was cast out in the 8th day and jews are commanded to be circumcized in the 8 th day.

men who are circumcized and hypocrites will not be saved.

men who believe in Jesus as a OUR saviour and LORD, will be saved even if they are not circumcized. but i do beleive circumcision is much more healthy, than not.

It actually started with Abraham. God told him he had to circumcise all males. So, technically, circumcision is a Jewish tradition-the ceremony of circumcision is called bris.
Supposedly, uncircumcised people are unable recieve salvation. If ure not circumcised, then u are an outcast, not a Jewish person anymore.

Circumcision was a token sign of the Covenant that God made with Abraham and his children. It applies to the Semitic races for religious purposes.

It has nothing to do with Christianity. But many countries practice it for personal hygiene reasons.

Circumcision of a male was a BIG requirement for Jews in order to be in good standing with Jehovah. It is part of the original covenant God gave to Abraham. It is symbolic of the union between the man and God. Because of Jesus Christ, circumcision is no longer a requirement for having good standing with God. It is however, done for medical reasons today. Paul was a good teacher of the inneffectiveness of circumcision as a believer in Christ.

It has more to do with social issues than christianity.....But, did you know, that in Louisiana, medicaid just quit paying for circumscisions. That means that families without the ability to pay the 300 for the circumscision, their boy's will have their foreskins (which is completely ok). I just find it funny....and I work in a hospital, and trust me, these moms are not shelling out the 300. So these uncirced babies' older siblings have them, and the youngers dont.

It started as a command from GOD, to circumcise all Jewish men and boys 12 and older. This would distinguish God's Children (Jews) from the rest of the world.

"Christians rejected circumcision at the Council at Jerusalem. (Acts 15 http://www.cirp.org/pages/cultural/christian.html#ACTS15 ) St. Paul, the apostle to the gentiles, taught parents that they should not circumcise their children. (Acts 21:25 http://www.cirp.org/pages/cultural/christian.html#ACTS21 ) In a reference to the old practices of genital mutilation, St. Paul warned Titus to beware of the "circumcision group." (Titus 1:10-16 http://www.cirp.org/pages/cultural/christian.html#TIT1 )"

"most muslims guys are obliged do you know that?"
Actually, In Islam, the practice violate the Koran: "Our Lord, You did not create all this in vain" (3:191), and "[He] perfected everything He created" (32:7). You are destroying that which Our Lord created perfectly.
Please have a look at this link: http://www.quran.org/khatne.htm

Some Muslims do cut their genitals, of men and women, but this is primarily cultural, not religious.
