You could try the color visualizer by Glidden Paint. Choose your room, pick the colors swatches that are close to your furinture and carpet and test out a few colors for the walls. I like the color Cookie Crumb. It is in the yellow family uder gold, wheat, amber then 3 down and 4 over.

If you really like color go for a color called roasted pepper semi gloss get it at wall mart it is very nice and goes extremely well with navy or any blue which is at the other end of the color wheel, I use all sorts of blue and gold and Burgundy accessories also my electronics and picture and painting frames are black or black and gold. I get rave reviews, but I am an artist and have a lot of artist friends.

The colour you choose will also depend on the drapes you have and the rooms close by/adjoining. You could go for a cream/ off-white. This is good if you have other colours to match to or if the room is quite dark. However a nice, neutral brown tone will add a modern air to the room, a milky tea or sisal colour ( if you go this way a dark chocolate feature wall could also add some interest). Blue is an easy colour to match to so look at what you've go, what you like and whats availabe and pick one. Paint samples are good too as you can see what a colour does in your room as colours will change depending on their surroundings

don't paint the walls blue for sure. try neutrals and soft colors. Look at some designs by Ralph Lauren, he uses the navy blue color alot. A dark brown goes well with navy blue but use it as an accent not for the wall.

I would do the walls in a caramel or sandy color. I think white or cream would be too stark with the navy.

Maybe a lighter blue. Or you can do white and cover the blankness with some pictures.

a semi-gloss cream would be nice. Then you could accent with any colors you wanted.
