There are something like 20,000 troops deployed in Iraq now, over the past 4 years of conflict about 3,500 have been killed... since the surge began (increase to 20,000 troops in Iraq) less 200 (roughly) have been killed... I'll let you do the math...

I am not Pro war but i am Pro -our troops.
The thing is yes these guys and girls go over there and they do their jobs. Some come home and some dont. I can sadly accept that. I know when my husband leaves here soon that no he may not come home.
But the thing is home many people die in THIS COUNTRY Daily that is determined reasons that are not understandable or are killed by someone else.
The fact is people kill people all over this country all the time. And it sure isnt posted all over national news. Yes the war a big thing but more people died in THIS country last year then in Iraq..

Out of ten roughly .06 would not come home. One of them would get his leg shot.
There are currently 333,177 Army national gaurdsmen 419 have died

But overall, you also have to worry about casualty rates (being wounded OR killed), we've had an estimated 30,000 US soldiers wounded or killed.

Also, depends on your job, infantry is going to see a lot more casualties then a signals analyst.

I feel safer in the streets of I raq than I do in the streets of downtown Detroit.

Far less than were in WW2. It sounds so cold, But given our weapons now and the length of the War with less Allies than we had then, There are far less. Being a mother, I couldn't handle one of my kids being killed by those terrorists. At least in WW2 we fought along the lines of general warfare.
There are no Pattons, or Montgomerys, or Bradleys. It can't be that way. It's an all out man against man war, instead of a country against country war.
But yet our Men and Women still do their job, what does that show you? Our American need to defend that Flag.

if 10 were deployed, 10 would come home, on average

Casualty rates have been remarkably low

At the current casualty rate, you would have to deploy at least 500 troops to see even 1 casualty

They would have the same chances of survival in the USA we kill more people on our roads along with murder more in one day than die in Iraq and Afghanistan ( people who are deployed or contractors combined )

I love my country and it's troops, but as far as the real facts go, this world is overpopulated by 80 to 90%. The sad thing is that many many more will probably die before this mess is through. Thanks to the illuminati.

Only God knows the answer to that one. We need to pray for our soldiers and civilians there, that God will keep them safe and bring them home. My husband is there. Check out his news at www.iraq-up-close-and-personal.com
