Automatic air fresheners = Airwick. It automatically sprays the scent every few minutes. You can find it at most local stores - Target, K-Mart, most grocery stores, etc.

Try this:
Squeeze the juice of a couple of lemons in a 2 quart pan, fill it up 3/4's of the way with water. Then add some cloves and cinnamon to the water and bring it to a boil then simmer it.

It took the fish smell out of the air.

Also throw some lemon peels in the garbage disposal and run it. Lemons are good for getting fish smell out.

In the future, I would suggest using lemon juice to wipe down all areas that the fish touched including your hands to prevent the smell.

To take care of the odor in your home right now I'd suggest sprinkling baking soda on the carpet & furniture leaving it set about 15-20 minutes then vacuuming thoroughly.

You could also put some baking soda in a couple bowls or cups, placing them around the house to help pull the odor out of the air. While baking soda isn't hazardous, you may still want to be sure it is kept out of reach of children or pets.

Scented candles and air fresheners mask the smell. try an odor neutralizer... Oust works really well..

If the smell has invaded the furniture and carpet try Expel odor neutralizer spray .... If the smell is in deep you may need to shampoo the carpet and upholstery. Use Expel carpet and upholstery odor neutralizing shampoo.. .

Don't forget the draperies Fa-breeze usually works If the smell is in deep you can use the upholstery shampoo above or have them dry cleaned depending on fabric... Be sure to tell the dry cleaner to odor neutralize as well as clean..

LOL...Nothing spiritual or religious about this question.

But hereeeeeeee you go!

1/3 white vinegar + 2/3 water in a spray bottle. Shake it up then spray it lightly on fabric near the stove or oven where you prepared the fish, as well as around the house. The white vinegar smell will fade quickly and it takes the fishy smell with it.

A little confused about the category..however... get your electrics checked. No, seriously. Dodgy electrics smell of fish. We had this problem in our rented house, as soon as the electrics were sorted the smell went away.

Catch a skunk and bring it home. It won't get rid of the fish smell but; with the skunk in there, you will hardly notice the smell of the fish.
