Watching the Dauphine and last years Vuelta Vino should win it hands down. Valverde is still yound and he needs to improve on his time trialing. Valverde will be second, Vino first and a fight to finish out the podium. Id watch out for Liephimer, hes rode well early on, same goes for Cadel Evans. However team Astana is too dominante. They have Kloden, Kishenken (the other KAZ guy i cant spell his name). Look for Vino to win in Lanceesque dominance.

I think Vinakourov (sp?) is favoured. Has the best team behind him, but all you need is one bad stage too lose the race and Vini has shown a tendency towards this in the past.
Astana should be able to control the race and I suspect that if Vini has a bad stage then the likelihood is that Kashenkin (sp?) will take the Yellow jersey.
Others in contention are Evans, Valverde, Leipheimer and Satre. Don't discount the dark horse Moreau, if he gets into a winning position he will get a lot of support from the partisan crowd; that can make a huge difference.

I can confidently inform you the guy in the yellow jersey cycling into paris on the final day will be the winner! Other than that it seems very open this year, have to see after the first week. Maybe Vino?

I've just got back home from watching the Greenwich Start, I wish I could tell you the overall winner but I think they all have a good chance.
I hope a brit is 'up there' somewhere.

Vino's looking good and Astana are strong, but it's a much more open race this year.
