God didn't make Saturday more holy than the other days, he just said to treat one day as holy. It doesn't matter which one it is, though I suppose it's easier to worship together when we all pick the same day. I personally like Tuesday.

The Adventists are mistaken to blame the Catholic Church for changing the Sabbath day off to Sunday. The real reason is found in the New Testament. After Jesus resurrected, the churches started meeting on Sunday, the first day of the week (see Acts 20:7,1Cor 16;20. A good scripture on this subject is Romans 14:5-6 which states that each person can observe a day for the lord as he chooses. The main thing is that you should have at least one day of in the week but it is not necessary for that day to be Sunday anymore. Jesus told to keep the 10 commandments except the one about the Sabbath. The disciples of Jesus didn't teach to keep the Sabbath either.

The changes in God's order are those in the new Testament which supersede the Old Testament because of the New Covenant between God and all peoples who are belivers not just the Jews. Another example is that all foods are declared clean in the N.T. and so they may be eatan where before they were prohibited in the O.T.(see the book of Acts where Peter has the vision to eat what was once unclean).

Ok, big topic but a good question. This debate goes back and forth quite a bit. Let me try and list some of the arguments for and against Sabbath keeping. If you want to understand what I wrote, you are going to need to look up the references while you read this.

Against:
1. The Ten Commandments were done away with and a new covenant was given to all who believe in Jesus: Love the Lord your God, Love your neighbor as yourself.
2. Paul says that we do not need to follow feast of new moons or sabbaths. Col 2:16
3. Rom 14:5 says that one person may esteem one day as holy and other man views them all the same.

For:
First I want to address the against arguments and then list some additional FOR points.
1. The greatest commandments which Jesus listed SUM up the 10 commandments, but are not in themselves anything new. The first 4 are loving God and the last 6 are loving man. By following the first 4 of the ten commandments, you are fulfilling the greatest commandment to love the Lord your God with all your heart soul and mind. And the Sabbath is in those 4.
2. Paul doesn't say "don't follow those anymore". Plus the Greek does not contain the word "is" so it actually says no one but the body of Christ is allowed to judge on those things.
3. Paul was referring to a holyday or "holiday". He specifically said a day that man would consider Holy or not Holy. God hallowed the Sabbath, that Holiness is not up for debate by man.
Additional reasons to keep the Sabbath
4. Heb 4...Read it. Obviously still applies to the New Testament.
5. The Sabbath is a reminder of Creation. It is not just for the Jews, it is for all of Creation. Exodus 20:11 Remembering our Creator this day in age is important especially since the fact of our creation is up for so much debate.
6. In the end of time, God's followers will keep His commandments. Rev 14:12 The faith of Jesus, AND His commandments.
7. If the Sabbath were not binding, God would not have put it in stone, and would not have said REMEMBER.
8.If you fail to keep one of them, you fail to keep them all. Why then wouldn't Satan work hard to keep just one of the Ten out of mainstream Christianity?
9. The argument, we can worship God whenever or however we want sounds a lot like the story of Cain and Able. Cain did what he though was good enough for God, but God was pleased with Able's sacrifice because it was what God asked for. You might also remember the response of Cain...The point is, we simply want to do what God asks and not try and tell Him what should be ok to do.
10. The law does not save, neither does the Sabbath, only Jesus does. But if we truly love Him, we will do what He asks.
"If you love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15

Yea the Sabbath is on Saturday. They let the pastor and priest lie to them about the truth about the Sabbath. The Sabbath has never change! Christian were persecuted for their belief in the Sabbath back in the early times....

Christian say the Jews that are suppose to follow the Sabbath and we are under the New Convent so we worship the first day BUT God bless the 7th day before any human was on Earth (Genesis 2:3).

Christian say they gather on the 1st day BUT people misinterpret the verse and write it down wrong too on here. Its UPON THE FIRST DAY Meaning before Sunday. Then did God say he was going to switch the day b/c hes the only who can reverse what HE said, not Paul! (Numbers 23:20.)

What would Jesus do?

In John 15:10 Jesus said "I have kept my father's commandments" and we can also find from scripture that Jesus attended church on the Sabbath day. "And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read." Luke 4:16

He would worship on the Sabbath!

Does it matter how we worship God?

Yes. In John chapter 4 the woman at the well asked Jesus the same question. Jesus responded: "the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." John 4:23-24.

But isn't it very dangerous to tamper with God's law?

Changing Sabbath to Sunday is an insult to God because it attempts to alter His divine law.

"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish aught from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God." Deuteronomy 4:2. "Every word of God is pure. ... Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." Proverbs 30:5, 6.

God has specifically and positively forbidden men to change His law by deletions or additions. To tamper with God's holy law in any way is one of the most fearful and dangerous things a person can do.

Regardless of denomination, the Sabbath is on the Seventh day of the week which is Saturday. It's that simple. We should keep all of God's commandments which includes the Sabbath. They all are of equal importance in God's sight. John 14:15.

No rules changed. In Catholic Churches, Christians have always observed the Vespers service on Saturday, following the liturgy of the ancient Jewish synagogues very closely. And Christians have always met on Sunday morning to observe the Eucharist. We didn't get rid of a day - we added a day.

Not a right or wrong involved here. And what exactly does "normal " church-goers mean. What defines normal. Somewhere in the world someone is going to their place of worship ever minute of our 24 hour day. For the sake of day counting, ( a whole issue in it-self) calender creating, (there are several different ones happening even today) and commerce, it was just convenient to PICK A DOG-GONE DAY. Treat every day as a Sabbath day, because it is.

From reading the answers they are not jewish but follow a jewish savior. The Sabbath was only for the jews. gentiles/christians don't follow the jewish law, moses law, old testament, etc. Jesus is the Lord of The Sabbath, HE created everything, He created man and woman, He created The Sabbath and blessed it and told us to REMEMBER IT AND KEEP IT HOLY. Rejecting the Holy Sabbath and the teaching of Christ and then to observe/accept a pagan day of sun day in place of and still claim to be followers of Christ; (saved by grace)even though rejecting everything else because it "only applies to the jews/Israel". From such a line of thinking how do they accept the cross with a jewish savior? They are following after misunderstanding and the false traditions of man. As for me and my house we shall follow the Lord...Happy Sabbath...

Everything has changed. We were never under the Jewish law. All moral laws are(were) a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ. Go to church any time you want, but you don't have to go at all. The old and new testaments are different dispensations. Groups such as Seventh Day Adventists don't agree with this; they blame the Catholic Church for changing the day; wrong. It never was the day for the church.

The holy day, as stated in the Bible and the 4th commandment, is saturday, the sabbath. Jesus said i come to change not. The is no scripture anywhere in the Bible that says the sabbath has been changed to sunday. The Catholic church changed the day. The Catholic church said they had the authority to change the day since the pope represents "God on Earth." God does not change his own law. The law is unbreakable.
