I would like the kind that takes a 'typical' 70s picture. You know: yellowish, slightly blurry, vibrant colors.
I don't know much about cameras themselves, so I'm not sure if they even MAKE 70's stlye film anymore.

However, would someone be kind enough to fill me in?

I suggest a Kodak Instamatic. I used an Cannon F-1. You can get it a little blurry and yellowish if you use the right film with an F-1.

a lot goes into what makes your "70s picture".
The camera might contribute to the blurryness, but the film and its age or the age of the print contributes to the rest of your description. The photographer can easily control the blurryness with slow shutter speed or intentional movement of the camera.
The processing of roll film will also be an issue, because all attempts are made to get the colors "right" regardless of how you wanted it. That said, you might be better of with a digital camera and some lessons on digital photo editing. I would say that would be easier than finding and having correctly processes roll film, which is getting harder to find now.
