that we are all sinful and death is our just reward for the sin? They don't want to put sin to death on the cross because they don't think they really have any sin? Don't they know that death HAS to happen to totally set them free with Christ?

Oh realchurchhistorian: are you going to be surprised--not only no rapture but IF you end up saved you will be stunned to be sitting in Purgatory. Yep, I am a proud Catholic!!!!

Sara: at least I don't call you Satan spawn and everything else people call the Catholics on here. I even say you are our misled brothers and sisters in Christ. You barely even give us human status

Should the people of Africa be condemned by Catholic Missionaries? Catholic's are opposed to contraception.

Sara, you are not doing your name proud. I would think the original one would be turning over in her grave if she knew you were hounding the Catholics like you do. That is just pure hate mongering. Why do this? Catholics are pro abstinence. People do not have to have sex like rabbits.

And looky here we have you hounding the Protestants. "That is just pure hate mongering."
There are 3 major theories on the Rapture found in Evangelical circles. 1) Pre-Tribulation rapture 2) Mid-Tribulation Rapture 3) Post-Tribulation Rapture.
Catholics certainly believe that "we will be caught up in the air" (1 Thess 4:17) when the trumpet sounds. So Catholics do believe in the "Rapture" if one is talking about the third option - Post Tribulation Rapture (although they understand the 1000 years to mean "a long time" Rev. 20:2-3; 7). The term "rapture" is derived from the text of the Catholic Latin Vulgate that was written in 390 A.D. It comes from 1 Thess. 4:17-"we will be caught up," [Latin: rapiemur]).

The Rapture is an interesting opinion, but as Christians, Catholics or Protestants, Our direction is with Christ and the price he paid for our sins and salvation. What we believe as long as we know our own short comings and the need for God's love, really doesn't matter.

It is obvious that when Jesus comes back as a Thief in the Night, you will be caught sleeping with the Catholics. You will wake up to that Charismatic leaders whose charm and 'scientific' answers will explain away the disappearance of nearly 1 billion people from the earth (not the Catholics they will still be here, the Bible-believing Christians).
Noah preached 120 years and described events that had never taken place before. The door of the Ark is still open, but very few will find their way to safety before the end comes.

No, I don't think so. The Cross of Jesus paid the price for our sins.
The "Rapture" is merely a shorthand way to describe the events of I Thess. 4:16-17.
I guess we could just say "The stuff that happens in First Thessalonians chapter four verses sixteen and seventeen," but to just say "The Rapture" is so much easier.

First of all, not all non-Catholics believe in the "rapture". Rapture is not mentioned in the Bible.
Jesus died on the cross for my sins and I was immersed in water (baptized) for the remission of my sins.
I know that all Christians (and everyone else) sin and that Christians can be forgiven if they repent and pray for forgiveness and try to do better.
I know that we will all be judged according to how we lived here on earth and that the saved will live with Christ forever.

Makes you wonder. Fortunately, only about 5% of Protestants believe in the Rapture. It just seems like more because almost all of them live here in the United States.

Why do people of today still believe in the concept of sin?Sin is as foreign to all of God's Children as the devil is.Do not frighten yourself anymore than you should. We are all Holy children of God devoid of sin and blessed with eternal life.
