Many different colors are used in the Temple. All the people are dressed in white, as is given in many scriptural references.
Revelations 3:4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Most things are white to represent purity.
White is unique -- it is actually the "all-color" or reflects all color.
White light run through a prism exposes the visible color spectrum (or rainbow).
Now a lot of people take "white" to be racist but white people are not white but several shades of pink.
The white of the temple has NOTHING to do with skin color. Why wife and I are not all European -- together our ancestors represent -- England, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Basque, French, Mayan, and African. Our skin color is not White (pink) but when we work in the temple our cloths are white and we fit in as good as any.
So please stop the race-baiting with Mormons

Not EVERYTHING is white in our temples. I am obviously Mormon and I have been inside many temples. Each one is different and beautiful in its own special and unique way. But is true what 2n2222 said. It represents purity and cleanliness, since it is God's holy house.

White represents purity in heart and mind before the Lord, not skin color. Why do you ask this if you have been to a temple?

You won't get too many answers on this one, because the Temple itself is off-limits to most everyone. Most Mormons have never been inside it.
