Sounds like "fighting word" in the services. The Marines may be the most selective, but Navy Seals and be elite, Army Rangers are elite, and Air Force is fairly well respected. Don't know what suits your personal needs most. Check 'em all out. And if all else fails pick a 'COOLER" uniform! All the branches including the Coast Guard are worthy and solid.

Of course it's the Army. No doubt about it. The ARMY is the main FORCE of any type of combatants since the birth of this nation, the world war1, world war 2 and beyond. Without the Army, the other branch of service cannot do it alone. There is a lot of misinterpretation who has the best in the service. Of course the SPECIAL FORCES are the best. Inorder for a soldier to become qualified, you have to be an airborne qualified, a ranger, a jungle expert, etc. The Navy Seals also have a special training, but seals had never exposed behind enemy lines or deep within an enemy territory. If they do, they had never stays there longer as compared to the Special forces. Remember, ARMY # 1, no questions ask!!!!!..... Marine<#2......

Army wife, Navy brat, Marine granddaughter and AF sister...I love them all! Apparently John S. is too stupid to know that the Green Berets are Army Special Forces and not Marines though, so I'd take his ignorant comment with a gigantic grain of salt.

Air force!! the short version Either you are flying an VERY expensive piece of equipment or working/ guarding it. Seems smart to me. We fly in blow **** up and get the hell out of dodge. Not to mention we get the best accommodations most of the time. I could go into many more details of why the Air Force is better.... but it would take me all day to type it up.

P.S. they all work on the same pay scale.. an E-3 gets paid the same in all branches unless you get special duty pay. Some branches may promote a little faster, but these days they all have a more standard promotion rate in months.

EVERYONE is going to answer to what they can relate to themselves. If you have family or are prior military, you are going to answer a certain way. I don't care if you were a navy cook or a plumber in the Army.. You will answer to what you experienced. for me I would say The Army since there is a little bit of everything thing, but then again I was in the ARMY so guess what I think

The Navy and Air Force offer better opportunities for intelligent recruits. The Marines are a good choice for many average intellect people and the Army exists so idiots can have employment also. As for toughness the Navy Seals are a bit more prestigious than the Marine Green Beret's although both groups are very well trained, lethal warriors.

They are all good why are you wanting to join? I went Army and have friends and family that are Marines and Navy. All are good and get the job done when allowed.

Army no doubt. We've got a much larger force than the marine's and not to mention we've got the Ranger Batt. and abunch of special forces.
