Ultimately it will end with employers here being forced to hire legal Americans through a database checking system or risk losing their license. Once the jobs are gone, and no one can hire them the problem will eventually work itself out. It is probably the simplest of ideas.
I do not agree with a "BIG WALL" because even China's couldn't keep out the Huns.

The debate will end probably
especially if a U.S. Census Bureau prediction of the US population reaching 400 million by 2050 becomes true.

It will end in a victory for America. Millions will be deported and the "push 1 for English" will all be done away with because its discriminative to all the LEGAL immigrants, from poorer countries, who speak other languages, yet somehow manage to learn English and not burden us. Ok I'm back.lol
I'm day dreaming of that day.

The debate will never end. Mainly because we will always have haters and racists. If this was still the 1800s there would be no debate. It would be a gunfight. There were already haters of brown skin hispanics before the illegal issue came up.I can personally go back at least 55 years of my life. There are racists on both sides of the debate that is not going to change because of the hate.

Really?
I expect that some 500,000 will be allowed to stay due to complications. I expect that some form of a guest worker program will be implemented. I expect that border security and enforcement will be strengthened dramatically. I expect that the people returning to their homeland will put significant demands on their government that will upset the status quo and generate political change. And if we are really, really lucky they will have good productive lives at their home.

I am not sure how this will end, people seem to be getting actively involved which tends to change things but big business is always looking to exploit someone in order to save money. If our borders are not closed to all but legal traffic I fear it will never end.
