As controversial as this sounds we are all going to the same place.yes, mother Teressa and Charles Manson will end up in the same place.God is synonymous with love. he is not a punishing god.its like we're all going to California, some take the bus, some take the train, some fly and some walk. we all experience different things and have to learn different lessons along the way,but we all get there.we don't get there at the same time, but we get there. the length of time it takes us depends on how quick we comprehend what life is really about and that there is no pleasure or gaining anything by doing dishonest deeds.what we don't learn here we will learn in the next experience. while mother Teresa may have went straight to heaven it might take Manson a thousand years to learn what he needs to learn.doesn't a shepherd get all of his flock home?

*** w80 12/1 p. 32 A Clergyman Takes Another Look at Hell ***
a United Methodist clergyman’s doubts about the existence of a fiery hell were published in U.S. Catholic magazine. He wrote: “There are in fact so many strong biblical, doctrinal, and logical arguments against the existence of a literal hell that this question naturally arises: Why do the churches teach it and why do people often believe it?” The minister, Robert Short, suggests that the answer lies in the churches’ “faithless fear of giving up ‘the gospel at gunpoint.’” He said: “The churches tend to believe, consciously or unconsciously, that fear—rather than love—conquers all.”
The clergyman asserted that the “most powerful argument against the existence of a literal hell is . . . that we can know a thing by its fruits. (Matt. 7:16, 20)” Using this test, he observed: “It has become painfully apparent that the ‘Christian’ doctrine which has yielded the most poisonous fruits is the teaching of a literal hell. For not only can it be proven that this doctrine has produced cruel, self-righteous ‘Christians’ throughout Western history, Christians who have felt justified in hating and even killing since it can be argued that any action is justified if it saves more people from hell, but a literal hell’s more modern and even deadlier fruit has been atheism.”
In conclusion, Short declared: “Only if the teaching of hell were true would the churches be justified in retaining it. And a growing number of theologians—both Catholic and Protestant—are now saying it is not true. If it is not true, then the churches have no time to lose in loudly and clearly saying this to the world.”
Jehovah’s Witnesses had a hundred-year head start in “clearly saying this to the world.”—U.S. Catholic, April 1980, pp. 37-40
*** w00 4/15 p. 12 Making All Things New—As Foretold ***
The end of verse 3 speaks of the time when God will be with mankind, turning his beneficent attention toward people doing his will. (Ezekiel 43:7) John continues in verses 4, 5: “He [Jehovah] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. And the One seated on the throne said: ‘Look! I am making all things new.’ Also, he says: ‘Write, because these words are faithful and true.’” What an uplifting prophecy!
22 Pause to savor what the Bible is foretelling. ‘God will wipe out every tear from their eyes.’ That cannot refer to normal tears that wash our sensitive eyes, nor can it refer to tears of joy. No, the tears that God will wipe out are tears caused by suffering, grief, disappointment, hurt, and agony. How can we be sure? Well, this remarkable promise of God links wiping out tears with ‘death, mourning, outcry, and pain being no more.’—John 11:35.
*** w00 4/15 p. 16 The New World—Will You Be There? ***
What He Has Promised
12 Revelation 21:4 tells us of some things that will not exist in the coming new system. However, what will exist then? What will life be like? Can we get any reliable hints? Yes. Isaiah chapter 65 prophetically describes conditions that we will enjoy if we have Jehovah’s approval to live when he, in the final sense, creates these new heavens and new earth. Those blessed with a lasting place in the new earth will not grow old and inevitably die.
*** kl chap. 19 pp. 182-183 When the Knowledge of God Fills the Earth ***
Jehovah God will soon destroy the present wicked system of things. The world is rapidly approaching what the Bible calls Har–Magedon, or Armageddon. That word may make some people think of a nuclear holocaust brought about by warring nations, but Armageddon is nothing of the kind. As Revelation 16:14-16 shows, Armageddon is “the war of the great day of God the Almighty.” It is a war involving “the kings of the entire inhabited earth,” or the nations. Jehovah God’s Son, the appointed King, will soon ride forth into battle. The outcome is absolutely sure. All who oppose God’s Kingdom and who are a part of Satan’s wicked system will be eliminated. Only those loyal to Jehovah will survive.—Revelation 7:9, 14; 19:11-21.

The Bible does not teach that heaven is the reward for all that are 'good'.Nor does the Bible teach that a fiery place of torment such as 'hell' exists.
What the Bible does teach is that when we die we cease to exist. We remain in God's memory and in his due time have the opportunity of being resurrected to life on earth.
Eccl.9:5:" For the living are conscious that they will die.But as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all."
Acts.24:15:"......that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."
Ps37:29:"The righteous themselves, will possess the earth. And they will reside forever upon it."
If you have further questions, why not go to your local kingdom hall of Jehovahs Witnesses. They have a thorough understanding of God's Word and unlike most other religions, they will give you scriptural answers and even have a free home bible study with you,if you so wish.

Really this is a good question -- and a normal and typical one which is indeed based upon a common understanding of most religious doctrines.
And from the addn'l information -- you (and most others) should be able to intuit without much effort or difficult that -- there is or must be something VERY "wrong".
Meaning, would you want to have anything to do with a God that treated their "love ones" this way? I know I wouldn't. And I know that the type/kind of God that is taught to us simply does not exist. No, I do believe that God DOES exist -- just not the one that MEN have taught us about which characterizes God as some big, bad all knowing all seeing dude sitting up in the clouds on a throne and using his ominipotence to dispense judgements as He sees fit, etc.
God hasn't, doesn't and won't create heaven -- or hell. We do -- or must. Right here and now. And we start with ourselves and each other -- creating and building The Kingdom Of God "within" (see Bible for more information).
If fact, that is the lesson that is being 'hidden' by those who teach otherwise -- of which their intention is to get you to believe that some "great entity" called "god", "jesus", etc., is going to arrive and do it all for us.
NOT!!!
In fact, until we "wake up" and throw off these shackles of ignorance which we have had bound to us for almost 2,000 years -- and continue to believe these outside, unjust and unearned authorities who place these blinders on us -- and DON'T get off our rearends and start working on it -- then "god", "jesus" nor any other entity is going to arrrive and do what it is that we are supposed to be doing for ourselves!

good question...you have two choices:
1. believe the differing opinions of people.
2. read the bible and find out what it says.
when I was younger, I was in the same position. I chose the second option. I discovered that you can actually know 100% sure and that it actually doesn't really depend on the "kindness" or "goodness" of someone--it depends of turning away from sin and giving control of your life to Jesus Christ.
As far as the answer to your question, the bible does tell the story of the rich man in hell who could see into heaven, but it never says that anyone in heaven was aware of hell. Will you ever be reunited with someone?--no. But if you are both depending on being "good" for admission to heaven, you'll sadly end up in the same place...hell.
Don't take my word for it or the word of the rest of us opinated christians, atheists, or deists....read the bible and find out yourself.

You don't go to heaven by being a 'good person.' Everyone has disobeyed the ten commandments, so everyone is guilty and worthy of hell in the sight of God. The only way to heaven is to repent, turn from your sins, and trust in Jesus as your savior. But to address your actual question, no, we will be separated from those in hell forever.

Luke 16:19-31. When the rich man died and he was in hades and Lazarus died and was in Abraham's Bosom, The rich man could see Lazarus but there was a great chasm that separated them. The rich man even was aware that he had brothers that didn't believe and begged to have a ghost sent to their house to warn them.

I suppose just like one's name can be removed from the Book of Life, the remembrance of such an one can be removed from the minds of the children of life.
